The discovery of a large tomb with a shovel has been performed in many places across the country. A villager in Tiexinqiao, Yuhuatai District, Nanjing City may have repeated such a miracle again. The morning before yesterday, when this villager was digging in his vegetable field, he accidentally dug out several large blue bricks. Archaeological experts from the Nanjing Municipal Cultural Relics Department rushed to the scene. After careful investigation of the site, archaeological experts said that a large tomb from the Six Dynasties was most likely buried there.
On the edge of a vegetable field on a hillside, the reporter saw a pit dug out of the ground. In the pit was a multi-layered section
more than 30 centimeters long. A large drainage ditch made of blue bricks about 5 cm wide. Directly north of the drainage ditch is a low-lying pond, and directly south is a raised hillside. After careful observation, the reporter found that the terrain here is quite unique. Viewed from south to north, there are continuous mountains behind the hillside, with "handrails" on the left and right. The mountains are surrounded by a U-shape, and the front is stable and open. It is really an ideal Feng Shui treasure land. According to Luo Zongzhen, a senior archaeological expert at the Nanjing Museum, there are long drainage ditches in front of the tombs of the Six Dynasties. Therefore, experts speculate that a large tomb of the Six Dynasties is most likely to be located on this raised hillside.
