What is the relationship between folklore and architecture?

Compared with architecture, folklore is a big concept. Among them, compared with the folk custom of architecture, it can be said that in the old society (before the fifties and sixties), it was a restriction on architectural design. If a building breaks the restrictions of folk customs, it will suffer more and more people's saliva. Because the folklore about architecture is a lesson accumulated and summarized by ancestors in hundreds of years of life. For example, the house needs lighting, but it needs cold protection in winter and heatstroke prevention in summer, so the windows should not be too big. Others compare houses to people's heads, and windows are like people's eyes. A person's eyes are too big. First of all, it's easy to get lost in windy and dusty days. Second, people with big eyes are morbid (thyroid disease). It is very taboo for the existing floor-to-ceiling windows and bay windows. Many folk customs have evolved into the concept of geomantic omen. If the number of rooms in a house is even, it cannot be even. The height of the house in the west cannot exceed the height of the house in the east. There should be no pond or running water on the right or east side of the house. Many of these folk customs were gradually broken by young designers in modern architecture. But the layout of rooms in many buildings is not good. For example, the ancestors advocated that housing should be clearly defined. Nowadays, apartments with missing corners and irregular geometric figures have become designers' favorite works. This requires generations of life practice to verify whether the folk customs about architecture should be observed.
