What watershed does Jiedong District of Jieyang City belong to?
Lianjiang River Basin is located in Puning and Chaoyang counties. Its main stream originates from Yangmeiping, Wufeng Mountain, Puning, and flows from west to southeast. In Chaoyang County, it flows into the South China Sea near Haimen Town from the exit of Haimen Bay Bridge. The total length of the river is 99 kilometers, which has been adjusted to 1977 after many bends, shortened to 72 kilometers, and the drainage area is 1353 kilometers. Lianjiang tributaries with catchment area of 100 km or more originally had four tributaries: Sankeng water, Guiyu water, Guantian water and Qiufeng water, which were changed to Beigang water and Qiufeng water after regular annual regulation. The average annual runoff depth of the basin is 1.052mm, and the annual runoff is 1.424 million m_. The measured maximum discharge of Yangweishan Gate (catchment area 334 km_) in the main stream is 1, 324 m _/s, and the minimum discharge is zero. Lianjiang is the mother river of eastern Guangdong. The origin of its name is because this main stream is 7 1 km long and mainly flows through the rivers in Puning City and Shantou City. It used to be "clear and winding like white practice". However, due to the rapid development of textile, printing and dyeing, electronic disassembly and other industries in the basin in recent 20 years, and the lag of supporting environmental protection infrastructure construction, the water environment management situation in Lianjiang Basin is grim, which has aroused widespread concern from all walks of life.
