Can agarwood be planted in the north? What kind of agarwood seedlings are suitable?

Aquilaria sinensis naturally grows in hot, rainy and humid tropical and subtropical monsoon climate environment, and Aquilaria sinensis likes to grow in low-altitude mountains, hills and sparse forests under the sunshine on the roadside. Generally born below 400 meters above sea level, it can reach 1000 meters in Hainan. The distribution area is located near and south of the Tropic of Cancer, and belongs to the tropical and subtropical monsoon climate with high temperature, rainy and humid. The annual average temperature 19-25℃, the monthly average temperature 13-20℃, the average temperature in July is around 28℃ or above, and the extreme minimum temperature can occasionally be below (-1.8)℃. I like moist and loose latosol or mountain yellow soil with thick soil layer and rich humus. Most of them are distributed in mountain rainforests or semi-evergreen monsoon forest. It is difficult to grow seedlings of Aquilaria sinensis in the north, mainly because they can't overwinter in the open air.

Generally, agarwood is potted in the north and moved indoors in winter. In addition, when selecting agarwood seedlings, it is best to cultivate and grow in the north. The seedlings introduced directly from the south are not adaptable, and the survival rate of planting in the north is not high.
