Painting and calligraphy mounting course

After the calligraphy and painting is finished, it will be mounted. Calligraphy and painting mounting is also a technology, and the quality of mounting directly affects the value of calligraphy and painting.

Tools/raw materials: brushes, pastes, rice paper, newspapers and knives.

1. Spread the back of the calligraphy and painting on the table first, and make it big enough.

2. Then soak the back of the calligraphy and painting with a brush. Be careful not to be too hard or too dry. Just brush the calligraphy and painting flat.

3. Then spread the newspaper on the calligraphy and painting of the work and suck the water away.

Dilute the paste with water, neither too thick nor too thin. Like porridge, the kind that can flow.

4. Apply the diluted paste evenly on the back of the calligraphy and painting with another brush. Don't apply too much, be sure to apply it evenly. Then clean up the excess paste on the table around the calligraphy and painting.

5. Take a piece of rice paper about 2 cm wider than the work, put the rice paper in from one side with your left hand, and brush it back and forth with your right hand (to be dried) until the rice paper is completely attached to the calligraphy and painting of the work. After brushing, you can cover it with a layer of newspaper and continue brushing until there are no bubbles.

6. At this time, brush the extra 2 cm with paste, and then prepare two pieces of rice paper with a width of 5 cm and a length of 10 cm, covering the 1/3 on one side of the work. This is called "chimney" to keep the back of the work breathable. Finally, pick up a corner of the rice paper with a knife or something and lift it slowly. Pay attention to the works to be posted on rice paper.

7. Finally, pick up the framed calligraphy and painting of the work, with the front of the work facing yourself, walk to a smooth wall (board) as close as possible, take a breath and stick it on the wall. Brush vertically and horizontally on the work with a dry brush to draw the shape of rice. Finally, brush 2 cm around the outside work. This kind of painting is basically flat.

8. When the painting is dry in a few days, cut off the painting on the wall with a knife. After cutting, the painting is over.
