A long time ago, there was a geographical legend, Langya Xiangyin, which introduced the origin of Fulai Mountain: in ancient times, an immortal drove a crane from Fushan to the flooded Judi, and it happened that a mountain came from the East China Sea, so it was inhabited by Taoism. Because it comes from floating on the water, it is named "Fushan", also known as "Fushan". There is also a forest that comes with the waves, which is also the place where immortals live. It is called "Ding Lin". Fulai Mountain, like Laoxiandao, Fushan Mountain is recognized as a place of predestination, so this place is used as the Dojo for self-cultivation. Later, a black dragon was abused near Fulai Mountain, and was moved down from the mountain by the public and crushed under the mountain. In front of the mountain, the dragon head turned into Wolong Spring (in front of today's Ding Lin Temple) and the dragon tail into Longquan (near today's Chaoyang Temple) to show our apologies to the people. This mountain is called "Buddha Peak". Later, another mountain flew from the South China Sea, that is, "Feilai Peak", and the three peaks worked hard to become the current "floating three peaks".
There is another legend. Giant land was the sea of Wang Yang a long time ago. On this day, the Dragon King of the East China Sea expanded the Dragon Palace, and he wanted to move it away, because a hill stood in the way. It suddenly occurred to me that there are no mountains in the suburbs of Di Jun. Why not move this mountain and take back the water from the East China Sea? Thinking of this, he ordered an old tortoise to drift to Ju.
As soon as the mountain was settled, I heard a boy scold the old turtle on the mountain. The old turtle discovered that it was the three princes of the Dragon King playing ginkgo on the mountain. The old turtle didn't know, so he carried the princes together. The old turtle quickly said, "Don't worry, I'll just carry you back." After that, the prince sat on the back of the old turtle and was carried back to the East China Sea. The old tortoise reported to the Dragon King, "This mountain is very safe." Facing Wang Yang, Di Jun, the Dragon King of the East China Sea just sucked it with his nose, and the water disappeared and turned into a plain river.
Since then, the mountain on the back of the old turtle has been named "Fulai Mountain" by the locals; Later, a ginkgo tree grew on the mountain, which was the seed left by the three princes of the Dragon King playing with ginkgo fruit. This ginkgo tree slowly grows into a towering tree, bearing ginkgo fruit for people to enjoy every year.
In the center of the front yard of Ding Lin Temple, stands a towering old tree with lush foliage, which is "the first ginkgo tree in the world". Ginkgo tree in Ding Lin Temple is more than 4,000 years old, with a height of 26.7 meters, a circumference of 15.7 meters and a shading area of 900 square meters. Known as "the first ginkgo tree in the world", some people call it "the ancestor of ginkgo". Two stone tablets supported by rhinoceros in front of the tree can prove its age. According to textual research, this ancient tree was planted in the early years of the Western Zhou Dynasty, which was planted by the Duke of Zhou during his crusade to the East. Historically, Duke Zhou's eastward expedition once passed by "Guimeng", so it is possible to set foot on Fulai Mountain. According to Zuo Zhuan, in the eighth year of Lu Yingong (7 15 BC), "Gong and Ju people formed an alliance under the tree". In other words, during the Spring and Autumn Period, the monarchs of Lu and Ju made an alliance under the tree and restored it, which shows that the tree has become a famous tree at that time.
If "the mountain is not high, the immortal is not famous", then Ding Lin Temple, a thousand-year-old temple built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, is becoming more and more prosperous because of this ancient sacred tree in the front yard. During the Northern and Southern Dynasties, Liu Xie, a native of Juguo, once lived in a temple and created China's earliest literary criticism masterpiece, Wen Xin Diao Long. Presumably, there was an old gentleman taking a nap or writing a book under the ancient ginkgo tree in front of the temple.
According to Zuo Zhuan, "Lu lived in seclusion for eight years in September (7 15 BC), and Xin Mao, Gong and Hui joined forces with Fu Lai." It can be inferred that the age of this tree should be around 4000 years. During the reign of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty (A.D. 1654), a stone tablet inscribed by Chen Li said: "The big tree dragon will meet the Luhou, and the smoke cloud is like a cage floating mountain, shaped like a lotus petal flower, and its quality is better than that of steamed buns. Emperor In the 20th generation of history, people were all released by immortals. It seems that all ancient times have become an illusion, and the only son will live with guests. For thousands of years, this ancient ginkgo tree has experienced ups and downs, but it still maintains its tenacious vitality. Its crown is like a canopy, with a few acres of shade. It blooms in spring and bears fruit in autumn, flourishing and full of vitality year after year.
The second accusation is that "the alliance of countries should be a sunshade." "Zuo Zhuan" records: "Lu lived in seclusion for eight years (7 15 BC) in September, and Xin Mao, the public and the generals came to Fulai." It can be inferred that the age of this tree should be around 4000 years.
? The third strange thing is that "the ruler competes with his daughter-in-law." Legend has it that a young student passed by Fulai Mountain on his way to catch the exam a long time ago. I heard that this ginkgo tree is so thick that I want to hug it myself. So I came to the ginkgo tree in Ding Lin Temple and began to hug it from the right side of the tree hole. One hug, two hugs, three hugs ... When I hugged the seventh hug, then the eighth hug, it happened to rain. At that time, in feudal society, men and women paid attention to giving and receiving, so I couldn't hold eight. But he was smart, and when he had a brainwave, he propped himself up with his hands. He did it eight times, once, twice, three times, and then eight times. Xiao Sheng unhurriedly replied, I have finished measuring. This tree is as thick as "seven hugs, eight feet and one daughter-in-law" (Xiao Sheng also takes kannika nimtragol as the unit of measurement).
The fourth monster is "trees can play cards on a table." This tree has the saying "big eight hugs, small eight hugs", which means that the trunk of this tree is thin at the bottom and thick at the top. Big people can hold eight tops, and small people can hold eight bottoms, because the trunk is slightly thicker upward. A few years ago, when the protection measures were not strict, someone set up a table on the branch to play cards.
The fifth monster "branches grow into big trees." Look at the small ginkgo tree in the west. It was transplanted from the branches on the upper side of the big tree in the winter of 1959 by Mr. Lu Sheng San Lao, the former librarian of Juxian Museum. For this reason, I wrote a jingle: this tree is not a nut embryo, but moved out of the arms of the big tree. Since then, the old tree has offspring and was planted in the winter of 1959.
The sixth monster is "branches grow like crutches". You can see Screaming Trees Acer truncatum Bunge, also known as air root, which is a kind of self-protection of ginkgo trees and plays an auxiliary role. A folk fable says that throwing stones under ginkgo trees-hitting them-comes from this. It is said that beeches can only grow after 1000 years, so the life span of trees can also be measured according to the number of beeches.
? The seventh strange thing is that "the trunk does not bear branches." It is to grow leaves and bear fruit directly on the trunk without long branches.
? The eighth monster is "the older the fruit, the cuter it is". The fruit of this tree king is obviously different from ordinary ginkgo trees. The ginkgo fruits of other trees are spindle-shaped, big and long, and the fruit of this tree is small and round, which is particularly delicious.
The ninth monster is "pollinating a hundred miles". Ginkgo tree is dioecious. This tree is female. The nearest male tree is in the southwest of yinan county, more than 60 miles away. Although pollination is far away, the tree king has fruitful results every year.
The tenth blame is "the trunk has been ringing for many years." 1995 In the spring, it was widely rumored that "the ancient ginkgo tree in Fulaishan made a sound", which became a topic of discussion for a while. Many curious people at home and abroad, in order to explore secluded places, followed by starry night. Ginkgo trees usually make sounds on sunny nights in spring. In the dead of night, from 8: 00 p.m. to 1 and 2: 00 a.m., it seems that someone makes sounds from the nasal cavity with their mouth closed. As long as they make a sound, even if someone beats the trunk hard, the sound will not stop. According to historical records, in the first year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty, Zhang Zhuxi, a doctor in Juzhou, wrote a poem entitled "Singing Ginkgo Trees in Eight Views on Fushan Mountain", in which there was a sentence "Old cadres heard about it at night". It can be seen that due to the magic of ancient trees, Juguo people have the custom of worshipping mountains and trees since ancient times. In their eyes, mountains and trees are the medium of dialogue between man and heaven, so they are regarded as gods. Whenever there is a sacrifice activity, they will go to worship under the god tree. Among the primitive pottery unearthed in Judi, the original word "feng" is a vivid expression of the worship of Ju people's trees. Until liberation, Juxian folk still advocated the custom of making god trees. When children cry at night, they will cut out a banner with red paper, which reads "Yellow Emperor, Yellow Emperor, there is a crying lang in my family. A gentleman walking on the road will read it and sleep till dawn, "and stick it on the sacred tree to pray and bow down." It is said to be very effective. Even today when people advocate science and don't believe in ghosts and gods, "the first ginkgo tree in the world" is still regarded as a sacred tree. The difference is that it carries people's good wishes and sustenance. There is a local saying that whenever the ginkgo tree makes a sound, it will be a peaceful and fruitful year.
Fulai Mountain is known as "God bless the people", and there is also a saying among the people that "people come to Fulai and always come to Fulai". On the 16th day of the first lunar month, nearby residents gathered in Fulai Mountain to "catch the temple fair". In addition to sightseeing, business entertainment, a content that cannot be ignored at the temple fair is to pray for disaster relief, and the thousand-year-old tree has also become the first choice for those who pray for longevity.
More than 4,000 years have passed, and the "world's first ginkgo tree" has witnessed historical changes and vicissitudes with tenacious vitality; After countless natural and man-made disasters, life is still endless and flourishing. When Typhoon David hit Juxian, many trees in Fulaishan were uprooted, but this thousand-year-old tree was intact and shocking.
? "Don't look at the towering ginkgo trees and read the vicissitudes of life. Bai Qin Han Song is a younger generation, and the ancient Buddha is not alive. " An ancient tree bears the history and entrusts the future. Just like "one mountain, one water and one saint", it marks the inheritance of Qilu culture from generation to generation.
