Topography of Lipu County
Lipu county is surrounded by mountains, which are high and low all around and incline from west to east. The central part is a hilly platform with ups and downs, and part of it is a rocky mountain forest, which cuts the county into several small basins. Lipu River and Maling River flow through the whole territory from west to east, forming a valley terrace, with the lowest point being Saigon Valley, with an altitude of 102.3m, and the highest point being Zhutou Mountain, with an altitude of1355.7 m. The landform of Lipu County can be divided into six types: Zhongshan is 800-1365 m, which is distributed in all towns and villages of the Yao nationality in Lipu. There is a Jiguan Mountain system in the southeast, starting from Lingtou Mountain in the east and reaching Honey Mountain and Baimian Mountain in the south, stretching for hundreds of kilometers. Zhutou Mountain, the main peak, is steep, with an altitude of1355.7m. It is the highest mountain in the county with the steepest slope. In the northwest is Jiaqiaoling, the middle section of Guangxi arc mountain range, where the peaks stand tall. The peak has the Dongtan tail at an altitude of1230m, and the boundary of three counties at an altitude of1170m. This kind of land has short and steep slopes, vertical and horizontal valleys, strong division and poor conditions for developing agriculture. However, the climate is mild and humid, suitable for the growth of all kinds of trees, covering an area of 56,638 hectares, accounting for 32.2% of the county's total area. This low mountain is 500 to 800 meters above sea level. It belongs to the remnant veins of Dayao Mountain and Jiguan Mountain, and is distributed in some towns and villages such as Xiuren, Longhuai, Dumo, Dongchang, Xinping and Maling. The low mountains lie horizontally, the foothills are connected, and the soil layer is deep and fertile, rich in camellia oleifera, tung tree and fruit trees, with an area of 3722 1 hectare, accounting for 2 1.2% of the total area of the county. The hills are 200 to 500 meters above sea level and are located in the vast area in front of the mountain. The rosary-shaped low hills are dotted with large slopes ranging from 5 degrees to 15 degrees. Including Datang, Huajian, Tea City, Shuangjiang and Xinzhai in Maling Town, and the limestone foothills in Wuli and Anqiang areas in Licheng Town, it is the county's grain and fruit producing area. Covering an area of 19650 hectares, accounting for 1 1.2% of the county's total area. Terrace plains are 98-200m above sea level, and most of them are distributed in alluvial plains, terraces and hilly areas on both sides of rivers. With flat terrain, fertile soil and good lighting conditions, it is the main grain producing area and cash crop producing area in the county, with an area of 43,238.67 hectares, accounting for 24.6% of the total area of the county. Rocky Mountains are distributed in this county with a slope of 60 to 95 degrees. From Shuangjiangguanxiang Village in the north to xinzhai village in Maling Town; Wuli village, a town in the east, and Dongyang Village, Dongchang Town in the east; Tiger in the south is far away from Dumo, Qingshan, Longhuai and Yusi Village in Xiuren Town, with an area of 16027 hectares, accounting for 24.6% of the county's total area.
