The original article clearly classified water-qi disease in terms of symptoms and pulse. The cause of the disease mainly discussed factors such as wind, water, dampness, and heat. Its pathogenesis mainly involved the lungs, spleen, and The kidneys and triple energizer function abnormally, resulting in water that cannot be stagnated and overflows throughout the body. The etiology and pathogenesis of yellow sweat disease are different from the above four types. It is mainly caused by Yingwei stagnation and damp-heat fumigation. However, symptoms of swelling of the head and face of the limbs may occur, which are similar to edema.
"The Synopsis of the Golden Chamber" has a relatively detailed description of the etiology, pathogenesis and clinical manifestations of water-qi disease. Modern doctors classify water-qi disease into the following types based on syndrome differentiation and treatment based on classical and clinical manifestations:
(1) Feng Shui
1. Syndrome of superficial deficiency
Pathogenesis: Wind evil attacks the superficial surface, causing lung dysfunction.
Symptoms: Floating pulse, bad wind, joint pain, swollen face, rapidly spreading throughout the body.
Treatment method: Replenishing qi and strengthening the surface, diuresis and reducing swelling
Prescription: Fangji Huangqi Decoction, add peony for abdominal pain.
Fangji, Astragalus, Atractylodes, and Licorice (broiled)
Right file, take five qian dagger each time, four slices of ginger, one jujube, half a cup of water, decoct eight points, and remove the dregs. If you are thirsty, take it after a long time.
2. Heat syndrome
Symptoms: Aversion to wind, swelling all over the body, floating pulse, thirst, sweating, but no severe fever.
Treatment method: dispersing evil spirits, clearing away heat, and regenerating moisture
Prescription: Yue Mai Decoction
Ephedra, Gypsum, Ginger, Jujube, and Licorice
For the five flavors on the right, use six liters of water. Boil the ephedra first, remove the foam, and then boil three liters of all the medicines in it. Take it warm and take it three times. For those with bad wind, add a piece of monkshood and cannon. Four liang of Feng Shui skills. ("Ancient and Modern Records")
(2) Skin water
1. Syndrome of qi deficiency and yang depression
Pathogenesis: Lung dysfunction and spleen dysfunction Yun
Symptoms: floating pulse, no aversion to wind, swollen limbs, sunken when pressed, abdominal dissatisfaction as before.
Treatment method: Replenishing qi and promoting yang, eliminating water and dampness
Prescription: Fangji Fuling Decoction
Fangji, Astragalus, Guizhi, Fuling and Licorice
For the five flavors on the right, boil two liters of water with six liters of water, divide it into warm portions and take three servings.
2. Skin-water syndrome with heat
Pathogenesis: Loss of lung and spleen, water stagnation turns into heat
Symptoms: All over the face is swollen, difficulty in urination, Pulse sinking
Treatment method: sweating and dispersing water, and clearing stagnation of heat
Recipe: Yuejiajiashu Decoction
Ephedra, Gypsum, Ginger, Jujube, Licorice and Atractylodes

3. Skin water syndrome
Pathogenesis: water is on the surface, and lung qi is unfavorable
Symptoms: swollen body, difficulty urinating
Treatment method: Xuanfei, diuretic, dispersing water vapor
Prescription: Yuejiajiashu Decoction for superficial excess with heat, Licorice Ephedra Decoction for superficial excess without heat

For the second flavor on the right, add five liters of water. Boil the ephedra first, remove the foam, and add the licorice. Boil three liters and take one liter warm. Repeat until sweating occurs, and then take it with caution. Wind chill.
4. Syndrome of excessive dampness and yang depression
Pathogenesis: water and dampness stop gathering, dampness and heat are blocked
Symptoms: edema without fingers when pressed, hands and feet not warm , short and yellow urine, no aversion to wind and cold, yellow and greasy tongue coating
Treatment method: clear away dampness and heat, relieve urination
Prescription: Puhui Powder
Pu Gray talc
Take a square inch dagger each time, mixed with a drink, 3 times a day
(3) Yellow sweat
1. Yingwei stagnation, dampness and heat blockage Symptoms
Pathogenesis: Sweat goes into water, sweat is blocked by water and dampness, stagnation of nutrient and defense, excretion disorder, stagnation turns into heat, dampness and heat combine to steam
Symptoms: swollen body, pulse Heavy, feverish, profuse sweating as yellow as cypress juice, thirsty.
Treatment method: Reconciling Yingwei and dispersing water and dampness
Recipe: Astragalus, peony, cinnamon and bitter wine decoction
Astragalus, peony and cassia twig
For the right three flavors, mix one liter of bitter wine and seven liters of water. Boil three liters and drink one liter warmly. If you feel upset, take it for six to seven days and it will be relieved. If the upset persists, use bitter wine to stop it (one person uses fine wine instead of bitter wine).
2. Qi deficiency and dampness and Yang stagnation
Pathogenesis: Qi deficiency and dampness and Yang stagnation
Symptoms: pain in the body and chest, sweating above the waist, No sweating below, pain in the waist and hip as if something is stuck in the skin, inability to eat, severe body pain, irritability, and difficulty in urination.
Treatment: Harmonize Yingwei, Tongyang and disperse dampness
Recipe: Guizhi plus astragalus decoction
Guizhi, peony, licorice, ginger, jujube and astragalus
>For the six flavors on the right, take eight liters of water, boil three liters, drink one liter warmly, and drink the remainder of the hot gruel after a while to enhance the efficacy of the medicine. Take it warmly with a slight sweat; if there is no sweating, take more.
(4) Syndrome and treatment of Qi diseases
1. Guizhi removes peony and adds Maxin Fuzi decoction
Pathogenesis: Yang deficiency and Yin coagulation, water Symptoms of Qi Stagnation
Symptoms: The heart is hard under the heart, as big as a plate, with an edge like a spiral cup, smooth and clear, cold hands and feet, abdominal fullness, intestinal rumbling, aversion to cold, cold body, and joint pain.
Treatment method: Warming yang and dispersing cold, promoting qi and diuresis
Prescription: Guizhi Peony plus Maxin Aconite Decoction
2. Zhizhu Decoction Syndrome
Pathogenesis: Spleen deficiency and qi stagnation, swelling due to water drinking
Symptoms: The heart is hard, as big as a disk, the edge is like a spiral disk, smooth and clear, and the epigastrium and abdomen are full and distended
