In the process of interior design, many people will ask me what I think of Feng Shui. Actually, I am an atheist. At work, it is inevitable that customers will ask such questions. Here, let me talk about my personal opinion. I have little knowledge. I have never seen the Book of Changes or Feng Shui. I think if this thing is superstitious, then I don't need to pay attention to it. If this kind of thing is a science, then I haven't seen it, and I can also analyze it with scientific knowledge. What is home feng shui? I think: Feng Shui is a light application. In nature, light is the source of all power. The division of the sun between day and night makes the heating conditions in different parts of the earth different, resulting in temperature difference and wind. Light and wind will have an impact on the atmosphere at home, thus affecting people's mood and health. This is feng shui. How to make effective use of this light and wind is a kind of knowledge, and it should not involve too many superstitious things.
There is faith, but if you don't believe it, there is nothing. For feng shui, if we can give consideration to it in design, we must give consideration to it. If you can't do both, you can only do things according to the design. I think this is a correct attitude.
In home feng shui, the most talked about is orientation. When it comes to this topic, many people will think of words like Qinglong and Baihu. In fact, this involves a regional issue, nothing too deep.
1, the orientation of the seat is related to the earth's magnetic field. We know that the earth is not pure round, but a little round, and the magnetic field has an influence on the blood flow of the human body. This will have an impact on human health.
2. The orientation is also related to the light angle between the sun and the earth. Under a certain degree of goodwill, it will also affect indoor lighting and affect people's psychology. In fact, some popular geomantic sayings are correct to some extent, mainly aimed at people with high culture in China. It is not difficult to analyze the reasons from a scientific point of view.
The following are some bed placement problems mentioned in some Feng Shui websites I randomly found online. Actually, it's not necessary to know Feng Shui. We try to analyze it with simple scientific knowledge:
1) The bedside should not face west. This is obvious, because the earth turns eastward, which will affect the blood flow of the brain, thus affecting sleep health.
2) Not applicable to beam coping. This is a psychological problem. There are clouds in Chinese painting, and the sky is thin and the ground is thick. There is a beam on the top of the head, which obviously produces a sense of oppression.
3) Don't be too close to the window. In fact, there are two problems when approaching the window. One is that the sound insulation performance of windows is lower than that of brick walls. When sleeping at night, people will hear louder noise than the sound away from the window. The other window is a light source, which will affect people's sleep.
4) Not suitable for looking in the mirror. This is actually an obvious psychological problem. In the bedroom at night, there is always a gloomy feeling when you look in the mirror, especially when you use a desk lamp instead of a fluorescent lamp in the bedroom.
5) It is not appropriate to face the door. What's wrong when people sleep in front of the door? This involves a problem of psychological security, just like sitting on a stool with our back to the door and our side to the door, we feel different.
We can test it in a very simple way, sleeping in a place where you sleep soundly. The next night, you can blow the fan of the computer case at home directly at you, and then sleep with the fluorescent lamp on, and you will feel what Feng Shui is. There really isn't. You can find a room with mosquitoes without hanging mosquito nets, lighting mosquito incense and spraying mosquitoes for fear of water. I promise you will look pale in a few days.
Of course, there are some customs that are not necessarily true. I once did a project, which was supposed to be effective according to the original design, but the woman was superstitious about Feng Shui, so that she couldn't do it. Why?
The design is about the kitchen, and the living room is a commercial house.
1. According to the Hakka custom in Guangdong Province, you can't be a kitchen stove in the south. Then the best position cannot be designed.
2. On the west side, Mr. Feng Shui invited by the owner said that the burner could not be put on.
There is a big window in the east. Because you can't put a range hood or a stove on the window.
The kitchen door is in the north, and the wall next to the door is not enough. You can't put the burner on.
In this way, the burner cannot be placed in four directions. How to solve it? I don't know, either.
To sum up, I think Feng Shui is nothing more than that: if you believe, you will have it, and if you don't believe, you will have it. There is no need to make these things too mysterious, because it is even more undesirable to create superstitions for this purpose. In interior design, what we should consider more is functional practicability and decorative effect. If you use it well and look comfortable, people will live happily, which naturally has a direct positive impact on work and health. Put the balcony door back 60cm;; Let the children smell the kitchen fumes; The study was put in the living room ... Mr. Yu Jinggan, the chief designer of Xingyi Decoration Company, put forward the concept of modern geomantic omen in view of the misunderstanding of modern decoration. He believes that the space and functional design of the living room should be popular.
Life at home should be interesting.
