Why is Shaolin different from Shaolin?

There are three sites in South Shaolin! (1) South Shaolin Temple in Quanzhou According to historical records, there are almost 10 Shaolin Temple in China. The most famous is the Shaolin Temple in Dengfeng, Henan Province, which was built the earliest and had the greatest influence. Followed by Quanzhou Dongchan Shaolin Temple outside the East Gate of Jinjiang City, Fujian Province. In the development of China Wushu, these two are the most important contributions, and there are many legends. The Dongchan Shaolin Temple in Quanzhou, Fujian Province is said to have been built by Zhikong, a monk of Songshan Shaolin Temple in the early Tang Dynasty, at the foot of Yueshan Mountain in Qingyuan, Shandong Province. It has always been the center of South Zen and South Shaolin Wushu in China, and its reputation is far-reaching. Since the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, it has experienced three wastes and three booms. According to the records of Xishan Magazine in Qing Dynasty, in the first year of Tang Tianyou (AD 907), "Shaolin Temple was destroyed against the king" and was restored in the sixth year of Taiping Xingguo in Northern Song Dynasty (AD 98 1 year). In the first year of Jingyan in the Southern Song Dynasty, Shaolin Temple was destroyed again after the death of Pu Shougeng, a thousand monks in Qing Dynasty. In the tenth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, Huang Lizhong, a state official, "played the imperial court and built the Shaolin Temple". Until the 28th year of Qing Qianlong, the Shaolin Temple in Quanzhou was destroyed for the third time. After the burning of the temple, the Supreme Master, a monk of Shaolin Temple, avoided disaster and continued to recruit Shaolin disciples to clear up the Qing Dynasty and regain sight. Some monks fled to Dehua for refuge, and their hiding place has always been a mystery. Recently, Dehua County, Quanzhou City, a famous Daiyun Mountain in Fujian Province, was proved to be the foothold of South Shaolin monks. During the Qianlong period, Hong Xiguan, a generation of martial arts master, entered the Shaolin Temple in Quanzhou and continued to develop South Shaolin Boxing with the help of Zen master Shan Zhi. Later, he studied martial arts in Foshan, Guangdong Province, opened a museum as a disciple, and trained Huang Feihong, the champion of South Shaolin Boxing. Later, he was spread to Hongkong by Huang Feihong's disciples, and then to Southeast Asia and the United States. Located in Quanzhou Shaolin Temple at the foot of Dongyue Mountain, a large number of architectural components of South Shaolin Temple in Tang and Song Dynasties were excavated, and a tomb tower was found in Daitou Village, Shijing Town, Nan 'an, which added an important left evidence to the statement that South Shaolin originated in Quanzhou. The second phase of South Shaolin Temple in Quanzhou, which is under construction, has unearthed a number of precious cultural relics such as ancient stone foundations, stone pillars, stone pagodas, medicine grinding troughs and Song porcelain bottles from the Tang and Song Dynasties. Archaeologists here said that this is another new discovery of South Shaolin archaeology, which further confirmed the history of Quanzhou South Shaolin site. But all this evidence is still difficult to convince the public. The most important point is that the word "Shaolin Temple" is not recorded directly, but it has made an indelible contribution to the development of religion and Buddhism in China. (2) Putian South Shaolin Temple 1986, Putian City found an ancient building site at the foot of Jiulian Mountain in the north of Xitianwei Town, and five large granite stone tablets and columns built in the Northern Song Dynasty. Scholars carved the word "Luohan Bath Tea Powder" from the stone trough, which was 226 cm long and 100 cm wide. Judging from the words "Linquan Garden" and "Temple Mountain Boundary" on stone tablets and pillars, the most striking thing is the stone trough of the Song Dynasty, which weighs several thousand kilograms and is engraved with the words "Monks and soldiers in the courtyard are always harmonious to make stone troughs". It is speculated that the site may be the site of South Shaolin Temple. The Shaolin Temple in the south of Jiulian Mountain is more than 500 meters above sea level, and its terrain resembles a mountain basin in Henan Province. Located in the middle of Jiuhua Mountain Range, the terrain is very dangerous. It is an ideal place for military strategists to fight. The small plain in the mountain basin can be self-sufficient in farming, and the base camp is only a few miles away from each pass; And the slope is gentle, if there is military intelligence, it only takes an instant to get to the pass. Geographically speaking, Linshan is really a place that is easy to defend but difficult to attack. There are many shanzhai, such as Zhushan, Zhangjiang and Zhaitou 10 around the temple area. At present, all the villages have been preserved. Shantouwei and Wutongshan also have spectacular waterfalls with a height of 30 to 40 meters. The site of Shaolin Temple is located in the middle of Jiulianshan Basin. The temple base has two sides, more than 10 thousand square meters, and the bearing of the ten-square jungle can be imagined. In the early Qing Dynasty, South Shaolin Temple was inextricably linked with the Heaven and Earth Society in the anti-Qing struggle. Deeply jealous, the Qing Dynasty sent troops to burn it. Since then, Putian South Shaolin Temple has been lost in the dust of history. 1On April 25th, 992, Putian held a press conference in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, officially announcing the discovery of the site of South Shaolin Temple. The director of the Chinese Buddhist Association and the 29th abbot of Songshan Shaolin Temple attended the press conference. According to the instructions of his ancestors, he tentatively named Linquan Garden as South Shaolin Temple and presented the inscription "South Shaolin Temple is at the foot of Jiulian Mountain in Putian, Fujian". Now, Putian South Shaolin Temple has begun to take shape. The "South Shaolin" archway inscribed by Daxiong Hall, Tianwang Hall, Bell and Drum Tower, Shanmen and Zhao Pu is magnificent. The surrounding temples, such as Guzhu Temple, Xiawuyuan Temple and Jiulianyan Temple, surround the South Shaolin Temple, forming a high-spirited temple community and reappearing the magnificence of the ten-square jungle. The only regret is that all the records are only traces of "Lin Quanyuan", and the word "Shaolin Temple" is not recorded, which still cannot convince the public. (3) Fuqing Shaolin Temple Fuqing Shaolin Temple has a long history. It was built in the Tang Dynasty and destroyed by the war. In recent years, after investigation, textual research and archaeological excavation by archaeologists, the site of Shaolin Temple was discovered in Shaolin Natural Village, East Jang Jin, Fuqing City on June 4th. 1993. A joint archaeological team from Fujian and Fuzhou carried out archaeological excavations on the site, and unearthed a large number of precious cultural relics, such as the stone carvings such as "Shaolin Courtyard" and "Shaolin" found in the site, as well as stone bridges, stone bowls, stone troughs, stone mills (medicinal mortar), stone tablets, stone foundations, Shi Chun mortar, stone mill, stone incense burner, porcelain, coins, bronze mirrors and monk's tomb towers. The historical unsolved case that has been debated for many years has finally got a satisfactory answer. The site of Shaolin Temple discovered in Fuqing, which is recorded in history, is large in scale, complete in structure and widely distributed. Its cultural connotation is similar to that of Shaolin Temple in Songshan, Henan, and it is unique in Fujian. In particular, the Shaolin Temple in Fujian (known as South Shaolin Temple in history) excavated by provincial and municipal archaeological teams, both historical evidence and physical evidence, are consistent with historical records. This great achievement has been affirmed by experts from all walks of life. In particular, Shi Yongshou, the 33rd generation mage of Songshan Shaolin Temple, director of China International Friendship Liaison Association and president of Songshan Shaolin Temple Wushu School, led a delegation to Fuqing to inspect the Shaolin Temple site. After seven days of investigation and study, he solemnly announced to the outside world that the temple site of Fuqing South Shaolin Temple is undoubtedly a veritable Shaolin Temple site. Therefore, we have reason to believe that the two Shaolin temples in the north and south of China are historical facts, and we also have reason to believe that the South Shaolin Temple is in Fuqing. 1994 1 1 month, Fujian Provincial Bureau of Religious Affairs and Fuzhou Municipal Government successively approved Fuqing City to rebuild the South Shaolin Temple in its original site. People from all walks of life in Fuqing and overseas Chinese raised 50 million yuan to rebuild South Shaolin Temple. Not long ago, I visited South Shaolin again and felt deeply. South Shaolin Temple is located in the mountains in the west of Fuqing City and in the middle of Fujian Province. The temple is built on the mountain, magnificent, surrounded by green water, deep in the jungle, full of wind and grass, misty, leisurely and elegant. The temple seat faces southeast in the west, surrounded by streams, streams, waterfalls and springs, with clear water gurgling and springs gushing out, which constitutes a rare spectacle of water beauty. The whole temple stands on the mountain, backed by the five old peaks, also known as "Songshan Mountain". No matter the terrain or the mountain, it is exactly the same as Songshan Mountain in Henan Province. It's amazing! There is a stream lying in front of the temple, which twists and turns. The stream is clear and crystal clear, and the long flow does not dry up. To enter the temple, you must first climb the Tiesuola Bridge, which is nearly 200 meters long. People standing on it, feeling a little shaken, suddenly enlightened. Under the bridge is a mirror-clear lake, which reflects mountains, temples and shadows into the water. Because the valley is low and the stone is washed, the sound is clear, the blue cliff is sandwiched by the clear spring of the valley, and the clouds in the valley are often hazy and hazy, and sometimes the purple gas is dense and mysterious. On the square in front of the South Shaolin Temple, stands a great monument square with the golden word "South Shaolin Temple". The ivory square column stands tall and majestic. When we came to the first treasure hall-the Heavenly King Hall, we saw a large "Maitreya Buddha" sitting in the center of the hall, smiling and facing the gate. Shu Mei was gentle and amiable. On both sides of the main hall are majestic large statues of "Four donkey kong", holding snake swords, holding umbrellas and playing the piano. The "Sixteen-Handed Buddha" behind the main hall is magnificent. Passing through the two-story courtyard embankment paved with flower-shaped cement slabs at the back of Tianwang Temple and climbing the stone steps, it is the second hall, the Hall of Great Heroes. The majestic Hall of Great Heroes, with arches and eaves rubbing against each other, is magnificent. The temple is carved with beams and painted with buildings, and the murals are thick and impressive. In the center of the hall sat three huge statues of Sakyamuni, smiling and amiable. There are statues of eighteen arhats with different faces, different expressions and different eyes on the left and right sides of the main hall. Their craftsmanship is exquisite, and the color of golden plastic is Jin Liang, which inspires people to think about the past. There are many new temples in the future, and my interest is undiminished. I will browse them one by one. The engineering buildings of the gate, hall and pavilion of the whole temple are ivory walls, red walls, portals and beams, with antique arches and red and white rafters at the top, which are realistic in shape; The roof is full of golden glazed tiles, and the sun is shining. Generally speaking, the simple and fresh technology and exquisite structure all reflect the designer's superb artistic level. South Shaolin Temple lives in a mountainous basin, where the jungle is dense and isolated from the outside world. And the climate is special. It's warm in winter and cool in summer, so it's a good place for summer. All kinds of melons and fruits outside the valley are fragrant, and they are still famous for loquat, longan and citrus. Now, the local loquat can be exported to Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. Being in the mountains of South Shaolin Temple makes people feel relaxed and forget to return. Fuqing South Shaolin Temple deserves to be a bright pearl in the southeast.
