Suixi county has a long history, which can be traced back to the middle of Neolithic Age. In 355 BC, it belonged to the state of Chu, and then it was the border of Baiyue. Suixi County is located in the southwest of Guangdong Province, in the north-central part of Leizhou Peninsula. It spans from east longitude 109 40' to north latitude1025' to north latitude 2 1 00', bordering Lianjiang City in the north and Mazhang District in the east. The county is 75.75 kilometers long from east to west and 57 kilometers wide from north to south, with a total area of 2 148.5 square kilometers. The county seat is 359 kilometers away from Guangzhou, the provincial capital, and 0/6 kilometers away from Zhanjiang/KLOC.
