How were the swallow fossils formed?

In the Laiwu Mountains of the Taishan Mountains in Shandong, China, people discovered a large number of trilobite fossils very early. Trilobites were born in the Cambrian period 500 million years ago, and began to disappear in the Mesozoic Era, ruling the oceans for 300 million years. After the vicissitudes of nature, the remains of these trilobites became fossils, shaped like flying swallows, so people called this stone "swallow stone".

Swallow stone is not only a precious material for the study of paleontology, but also a unique ornamental stone and craft raw material. It can be made into the four treasures of the study, pen holders, vases, fans, screens, etc. Since 1987, the Confucius Foundation of China has listed swallow stone as a souvenir for international academic seminars on Confucianism. Swallow stone handicrafts have also been selected as national gifts for international friends many times.
