Hezhen Mansion is located in Jialing Town, 7.5 kilometers northeast of Qixian County. This building was built in the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty, and it is a self-contained ancient building. Hezhen Mansion has four floors, with a height of15.5m, a length of15.5m from east to west and a width of13.5m from north to south. There are 18 columns around Zhenhe Building, and there is an arched doorway made of brick at the bottom. The entrance is 8 meters long and 2.8 meters wide. This pavilion-style building is rare in Shanxi Province and is now listed as one of the key cultural relics protection units in Shanxi Province.
Hezhen Building is a single pavilion-style building, which was built in the early years of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 600 years. The building is15.5m long from east to west and13.5m wide from north to south, with five rooms. * * * Four eaves and three floors, reaching15.5m.. There is a brick arch on the first floor of the building. The doorway is 8 meters long and 3 meters wide, running through the north and south. This used to be a passage for pedestrians and horses. Empress Dowager Cixi passed by here on her way west to Chang 'an and stopped to watch, full of praise. Around the building, there are 18 exposed columns supporting the upper wooden building. The roof is a rest mountain building, decorated with glass, with upturned wings and arches arranged neatly. The overall feeling is simple and majestic, and the detailed components are exquisite. There is a big plaque hanging on the top floor, which is quite eye-catching. The original wood carvings and clay statues in the building have been destroyed. The reasons for the construction of Hezhen Mansion are unforgettable for tourists. According to legend, the flood of ancient Changyuan River brought disaster to the people of Qixian County. In order to avoid disaster, this building was built in Jialing Town, a treasure trove of geomantic omen. Since then, the river has been tamed, Qixian County is prosperous, and the people live and work in peace and contentment. Today, the two plaques upstairs are entrusted with the wishes of the people. The plaque on the front of the building reads Changyuan during the Yongzheng period, while the plaque on the back protects Zhang's surname and reflects the beliefs and customs of the ancients.
