The former site of Chengxing Milian County Government

The Chengxing Milian County Government is located halfway up the mountain in Daling Village. The terrain is difficult. During the Anti-Japanese War, it was the anti-Japanese center on the east bank of the Chaohe River in Miyun. , known as "Little Jinggang".

In the early days of the Anti-Japanese War, the Three Detachments of Jidong, centered on Daling, persisted in guerrilla warfare for three years. The number of troops grew to 600. In 1940, they merged with the Thirteenth Regiment of Jidong and became the main anti-Japanese force in Jidong. At the end of 1942, the Panshan base area was destroyed by the enemy. The Eastern and Western Hebei Prefectural Subcommittee organs, the main force of the 13th Regiment, the Luanxi Branch of the National Salvation Newspaper, the Luanxi Shadow Puppet Society and other units were successively transferred to Daling. From 1943 to 1944, the Miyun Hedong base area with Daling as the center became the main activity area for the troops of the Eastern and Western Hebei Prefectural Subcommittee.

In July 1943, in order to strengthen the leadership in the struggle against the enemy, the Chengxing Mi Xing United Government was expanded on the basis of the three districts of Pingmi Xing Lianhe County. The office address was chosen in Daling until 1945. Japan surrendered in August of that year. In June 1946, the name and organizational structure of Miyun County were restored, and the county committee and government left Daling.

More than 50 Anti-Japanese War relics, including spinning wheels, kerosene lamps, mimeograph machines and captured Japanese weapons left over from the battle, were collected at the former site of Milian County Government in Chengxing. In 2007, the former site of Chengxing Milian County Government was named a municipal-level patriotism education base.

Shenshan Village cleverly produces "ecological electricity"

Driving up the winding cement road leading to Daling Village, on the cliff in front of you, a large waterfall cascades down. Below, the mountain peaks were covered with water mist and gently drifted over, brushing our faces. Walking along the road, looking for the source of the waterfall, we arrived at the top of the waterfall. This is a small river flowing from the mountains, cut into several sections by small dams built by the villagers with cement. The village secretary told reporters that the 200-meter-high Longtanyan Waterfall is not only a unique landscape, it has also become a new energy source that can be used to generate electricity. Now, the daily lighting of the 58 households in the village is supplied by "water and electricity".

Daling Village is located on a hillside with an altitude of more than 800 meters. It maintains an easterly wind of level 2 to 3 all year round, and the light intensity is more than 20% higher than that in the plain area. The Longtanyan Waterfall at the east end of the village is year-round. Continuous flow, large drop, and fast current. In 2007, the scientific research team of the Electric Power Department of China Agricultural University fell in love with this "feng shui treasure land" and decided to develop water energy, wind energy, and solar energy here, and provided financial and technical support. After intense construction, the hydroelectric power generation project has now been completed. After that, the wind power generation project and the solar power generation project will also be started one after another. Daling Village will take several years to build a clean energy village integrating solar energy, water energy, and wind energy. The village secretary calculated an account for us: there are 58 households in Daling Village with 110 people. Based on one kilowatt hour of electricity per household per day, the village will spend 100,000 yuan on light and electricity every year, and the villagers use it free of charge. After "ecological electricity", this part of the money can be saved, which can reduce a lot of financial burden on the villagers.

Lily planting base

Beizhuang Town is the largest lily planting base in Beijing. Among them, Daling is the earliest base to develop lily planting, adapting to the growth of lilies in summer and autumn.

In April 2007, Beijing Haihua Wenjing Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. inspected the soil quality, water source, and climate of Daling Village and concluded that it was very suitable for the development of lily cultivation.

In early May, we signed a contract with the Daling Village Committee to invest 20 million yuan and use the 60 acres of land that was leveled at the original address of the relocated households for planting. In the first phase, 33 greenhouses were built, planting 125,000 lilies of three varieties: Sorbonne, Coconut, and Siberian. These lilies were sold out as soon as they came on the market. In 2008, Daling Village invested another 2 million yuan to introduce 50 acres of lily planting. The village secretary told reporters that Daling Village has less people and more mountainous land. After developing the lily planting project, the land in the village has been fully utilized, increasing the added value of the mountainous land. At the same time, the lily base has provided employment for more than 30 laborers in the village, with each person per The farmer can receive a monthly salary of 900 yuan and be responsible for three meals a day, which brings real benefits to the farmers.
