The so-called "He who learns Yi has no worries" is because pain, troubles, difficulties, obstacles, misfortune...etc. are all stages in life. The same goes for pride, which will change at every stage, because nothing in the world remains unchanged. It's like a hexagram. At a certain stage, it will become something else. Because we know that all things and things must change, we can be at peace with the situation. Therefore, we are "happy and aware of destiny, so we don't worry."
Brightness arises in darkness, darkness arises in brightness. Light comes from darkness, and darkness comes from light. The thing that can light or dark is the body, Tai Chi, which belongs to neither light nor darkness.
If your fate is bad, you can change it yourself, but how to change it? That is, one virtue, two destiny, three feng shui, four accumulated yin skills, and five reading. Therefore, it is said that "God has no method but no body."
Confucius said: "In the beginning, human nature is inherently good." All religions also advocate eliminating evil and doing good. The function of goodness is to complete the balance of yin and yang. Although one yin and one yang have positive and negative aspects, what reconciles the positive and negative aspects is not the unity of contradictions but the balance. When one yin and one yang are harmonious and balanced, the Tao is achieved.
Good and evil, right and wrong, moral black and white, are not absolute, they are all man-made. To say an absolute is relative, because absolute comes from relative, and only relative can produce the concept of absolute.
Metaphysically, Buddha said: "It cannot be said, it cannot be said." Physically, there is no absolute, and we can only rely on human beings to adjust it, so it is said that "the good is what follows, and the nature is what is achieved."
Zengzi wrote "The Great Learning", and enlightenment lies in the ultimate goodness. The highest good is that there is no good and no evil. Where there is good, there is also evil. Good when taken too far becomes evil. Like parents' love for their children, excessive care will make you very sad in the end, so loving is painful, but being loved is happy. But if a person is too happy, he is not happy at all. For example, if you care about me so much, I will be very annoyed. Being loved too much is not a good thing. In the same way, Lao Tzu said: "There is filial piety and kindness among relatives who are at odds with each other." Originally, there was no such thing as filial piety and unfilial piety. Later, they existed only because of the disharmony between relatives, which led to the theory of filial piety and unfilial piety.
Xing represents the true nature, such as Buddha, Tathagata, Tathagatagarbha, source, etc. The function played by sex is called emotion, which is the difference between temperament and temperament. If you want to achieve enlightenment, you must understand what Confucius said: "One yin and one yang is the way." If you want to achieve something, it is useless to just meditate and practice qigong. You must achieve good deeds. This is what is called "the one who succeeds is good." If you want to truly achieve enlightenment, you must understand your mind and see your nature. This is called "the nature of the person who has achieved enlightenment."
There is a mistaken heresy that applies the I Ching to both men and women, saying that picking yin can replenish yang, and picking yang can replenish yin. Don’t be misled by this statement. "Collecting and nourishing" is originally a Taoist name, which refers to collecting the essence of heaven and earth to replenish the life of one's own body. That is, Zhuangzi said, "to communicate with the spirit of heaven and earth."
That’s it for today. Tomorrow I will explain what “one yin and one yang” means.
