Eight palaces refer to the eight palaces of doing, watching, gen, Zhen, Xun, Li, Kun and dui. Among them, the trunk, ridge, root and earthquake are on the yang side, belonging to the yang palace; Xun, Li, Kun and Dui are on the Yin side, belonging to the Yin Palace.
Nine planets refer to nine stars: Wolf, Giant Gate, Lucun, Wen Qu, Lian Zhen, Wu Qu, Pojun, Zuo Fu and Youbi. Among them, the greedy wolf, the giant gate, and the sun are the yang stars; Lucun, Pojun, Lian Zhen and Fu Bi are in the shade, and they are yin stars.
