A Brief Introduction to Zhu Youtang's Life in Emperor Xiaozong of Ming Dynasty;
Early experience
Zhu Youtang, Emperor Xiaozong of Ming Dynasty, had a very unfortunate childhood. His biological mother Ji is the daughter of Tusi, the surname of Ji in Guangxi. After the rebellion subsided, the girl Ji was captured and entered the palace to manage the emperor's private money. Once Xian Zong passed by occasionally and saw Ji's beauty and intelligence, so he stayed overnight. Later, Ji got pregnant. Wan Guifei, who preferred the harem, ordered a maid-in-waiting to have an abortion for Ji. Ji's popularity is so good that the imperial secretary sent to him is reluctant to lay hands on him. When he returned to Wan Fei, he lied that he had a tumor in his stomach instead of being pregnant. Wan Guifei still didn't trust him, and ordered Jishi to be put in limbo.
In the shadow of Wan Guifei, Jishi secretly gave birth to Zhu Youtang in the cold palace. When Wan Guifei learned of this, he sent Sharla Cheung, the doorman, to drown the new prince, while Sharla Cheung risked his life to help Jishi hide the baby and feed it with rice noodles every day. Wu Huanghou, abandoned by Wan Guifei, also helped feed the baby. Wan Guifei looked for it several times, but he couldn't find it. In this way, Zhu Youtang ate a hundred meals until he was six years old.
One day, when Sharla Cheung was combing Xian Zong's hair, Xian Zong sighed and said, "I am old and have no son." Sharla Cheung quickly fell to the ground and said, "Long live my son." Xianzong was surprised and asked what had happened before Sharla Cheung told the truth. Tang Xianzong was overjoyed at Zhu Youtang's introduction and immediately ordered to pick up the prince. When Tang Xianzong first saw his emaciated son whose fetal hair had not been cut and mopped the floor due to long confinement, he couldn't help but burst into tears and was deeply moved.
On the same day, I called all the ministers and told the truth. The next day, a brief introduction about Zhu Youtang in the world was released. Zhu Youtang was appointed as the Crown Prince and Ji was named Shu Fei. But then Jishi died suddenly in the palace, and the gatekeeper Sharla Cheung swallowed gold and committed suicide. Obviously, the deaths of Ji Fei and Zhang Minzhi are directly related to the persecution in Wan Guifei. Xianzong's mother, Queen Zhou, was worried that she would kill the prince, so she personally adopted her grandson in her Renshou Palace, so that the prince could live safely in the palace.
Ascend to the throne of the emperor
In the spring of the 23rd year of Chenghua (1487), Wan Guifei died of illness, and Xianzong died of grief in August. Crown Prince Zhu Youtang succeeded to the throne on September 1. In the second year, for the sake of Emperor Xiaozong, the country name was changed to "Hongzhi". However, what Xian Zong left to Prince Zhu Youtang, who was 18 years old, was a country with chaotic political affairs and weak national strength. On this stage deliberately arranged by God, Emperor Xiaozong turned the tide with his tolerance and diligence, which made the Ming Dynasty rejuvenated.
Governing the country rationally
Due to the ups and downs of childhood life, Xiaozong has been weak and sick. However, filial piety is diligent in political affairs. Not only did they come to the early dynasty every day, but they also reopened the afternoon dynasty, giving ministers more opportunities to assist the emperor in handling government affairs. At the same time, a new banquet was held to ask ministers for advice on how to govern the country. Xiaozong also set up Wenhua Hall to discuss politics. Its function was to discuss the way of governing the country and political affairs with the cabinet in the leisure time of the morning and afternoon dynasties.
Zhu Youtang advocates speaking freely, being generous and kind, managing the family diligently, being cautious in words and deeds, and being diligent and valuing righteousness. Emperor Xiaozong's diligence finally paid off. Hongzhi dynasty was a peaceful period, with economic prosperity and people living and working in peace. Known by historians as "Hongzhi Zhongxing".
Late rule
Filial piety has been in poor health because of his difficult childhood, and he hopes to change his physical condition through Buddhism and Taoism. As a result, some adulterers mixed into the palace again, which once again brought trouble to state affairs. Li Guang, the eunuch, was one of them, and was deeply loved by Xiao Zong. Later, Li Guang committed suicide. Xiao Zong thought that there was a book in Li Guang's house and ordered people to search it, only to find Li Guang's account book of corruption and bribery. Filial piety realized this.
The Li Guang incident awakened Emperor Xiaozong, who had been sleeping for many years, and he began the second and last diligent period in his life. Zhu Youtang began to constantly reflect on what he had done before, reuse Liu Daxia, Dai Shan and other sages, and vigorously rectify the Chaogang, but excessive work intensity also completely dragged down his body.
How did Zhu Youtang die?
In the eighteenth year of Ming Hongzhi (1505), Zhu Youtang died in Gan Qing Palace at the age of 36. Before he died, he called Liu Jian, Li Dongyang and Xie Qian. Enter Ganqing Palace to take care of his life. His life was entrusted to Crown Prince Zhu Houzhao, who told the princes: "The prince is smart, but he is still young and likes to have fun. Princes should help him well and let him shoulder great responsibilities. I will die peacefully. " Finally, the last command to Prince Zhu Houzhao was to "appoint a good minister".
Where is Zhu Youtang's mausoleum?
After his death, Emperor Xiaozong of Ming Dynasty was buried in Ming Tailing, and was buried with Empress Zhang. Its last renovation was fifty to fifty-two years in Qingganlong (1785-1787), after which it was basically in a natural state. The planning of Tailing was after the death of Emperor Xiaozong of Ming Dynasty. According to the records of Wuzong in Ming Dynasty, after Wuzong ascended the throne, he began to organize the funeral of Xiaozong. Li Jie, the left assistant minister of the Ritual Department, Ni Qian, the deputy supervisor of Qin Tianjian, and Dai Yi, the eunuch of the supervisor, said to Wu Zong, "There is a place called Shijiatai in the west of Maoling, which is a auspicious place to build a mausoleum. The mausoleum of the great emperor can be built there."
Xu Tianxi, a right engineer, also suggested to Wu Zong that people who are proficient in geomantic omen in courtiers should go and have a look again. He also suggested: "If in doubt, please move to Jiangxi and other places. Look for warlocks extensively, visit famous mountains extensively, serve powerful people, gather atmosphere, have deep water and soil, correct acupoints and consolidate strength. As Zhu said, you can serve the gods and pray for the eternal help of the country. " Also agree to this proposal. Therefore, Wu Zong ordered eunuchs Fu An, Qin Guan, right assistant minister Wang Hua to visit Shijiatai, and finally decided to build Xiaozong Mausoleum here.
