Chen Manor in Dashan sits east to west, 80 meters long from east to west and 70 meters wide from north to south. It covers an area of more than 6,000 square meters and has a building area of more than 2,000 square meters. Houses 1 10, all of which are hanging mountain houses with barrel roofs and two floors on the first floor and the bottom floor. The whole manor consists of three groups of three-in-one quadrangles, armory, fence, watchtower, fish pond, training ground and garden. Three groups of Sanjin Courtyard in North, Middle and South are composed of Zangquan Building, Chen Dexin's Bedroom, Embroidery Building, Centennial Building and Foreign Building respectively. 1928, Chen Dexin was killed in the Northern Expedition in Sichuan. His brother built a loyalty temple in the courtyard to commemorate him, and strengthened the city wall and watchtower, which laid the scale of Chen Manor today.
The north and south gates of Dashanchen Manor are connected, which makes each group of quadrangles relatively independent and the courtyards are connected. The gable of the house is arc-shaped, with triple edges, diverse shapes and unique shapes. In the manor building, poems, flowers, birds and animals are carved on partitions, piano boards and window grilles. The techniques are wired and hollow, realistic, lettering and ideographic, dynamic and static, which complement each other. The stone carving technique is simple, the layout is regular and elegant, and it is both applicable and generous. The whole manor is surrounded by a 7-meter-high wall with irregular gun holes such as crosses, squares and triangles, which are wide inside and small outside, making it easy to defend and shoot.
