Baoji is the faucet of Guanzhong, with the highest average altitude in Guanzhong. It is the upper reaches of many large rivers. The Qinling Mountains are located in the center of the city and traverse the east and west. The main peak, Taibai Mountain_Sendai, is the highest peak in the inland area east of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in China. It has high forest coverage, rich animal and plant resources, and unique natural conditions.
Baoji is also the city in Shaanxi that has the least water shortage except for the three cities in southern Shaanxi. This is not only due to Baoji’s natural conditions, but also closely related to Baoji’s numerous reservoirs.
1. Wangjiaya Reservoir.
Located in the lower reaches of Qianhe River in Qianhe Town, Chencang District, Baoji City, with a total storage capacity of 94.2 million cubic meters, it is the nearest large reservoir to Baoji City and an important water source for Changqing Industrial Park and other surrounding areas.
2. Baojixia Reservoir.
Located in the westernmost part of Baoji City, it is the westernmost part of the 800-mile Qinchuan River. It took 16 years to be completed and put into use. It is the largest water conservancy project that benefits the people in Shaanxi and nourishes the entire western region of the Guanzhong Plain. .
3. Fengjiashan Reservoir.
Located in Qianyang County, Baoji City, it is the largest reservoir in Baoji City and the third largest reservoir in Shaanxi. With a total storage capacity of 413 million cubic meters and a normal water level of 712 meters, it is the most important water source in Baoji and even surrounding areas.
4. Baijiayao Reservoir, 5. Xinyi Reservoir.
Both reservoirs are located near Fufeng County. They are relatively flat reservoirs and are important industrial, agricultural and domestic water sources in Fufeng County.
6. Duanjiaxia Reservoir.
Located in the northwest of Long County, Baoji City, at the intersection with Tianshui City, it is also a large-scale reservoir with a total design capacity of 15.8 million cubic meters.
7. Dongfeng Reservoir.
Located in Fengxiang County, Baoji City, it is a reservoir with very flat terrain, with a current total storage capacity of 12.38 million cubic meters.
8. Stone River Reservoir.
Located in Baoji City at the junction of Qishan, Mei County and Taibai County, it is a veritable faucet of Guanzhong and an important water source in the province. With a total storage capacity of 147 million cubic meters, it is the second largest reservoir in Baoji. The surrounding environment of the reservoir is beautiful, and the Stone River National Wetland Park has been built.
9. Jifengshan Reservoir.
Located in Jifeng Mountain Scenic Area, Tiantai Mountain, Jifeng Mountain, Weibin District, Baoji City, it is an alpine reservoir with a total storage capacity of 1.48 million cubic meters. Although the reservoir is small in area, the environment is really beautiful.
10. Diaoyutai Reservoir.
It is located in the south of the Diaoyutai Scenic Area in _Xi Town, Chencang District, Baoji City. It has a total storage capacity of 2.72 million cubic meters and eventually flows into the Wei River through the Fishing River. It is a reservoir with a very beautiful environment. There are sightseeing yachts in the Diaoyutai Scenic Area, so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the reservoir without spending a lot of money.
