Changqi Town is affiliated to Huazhou City, Maoming City, Guangdong Province. It is located in the south of Huazhou City and is located in the lower reaches of the plain. The five towns of Pu Town are adjacent to each other. The total area under its jurisdiction is 37.88 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Changqi Town had a registered population of 65,846.
In the Western Han Dynasty, it belonged to Gaoliang County. After the ninth year of Kaihuang in Sui Dynasty (589), it belonged to Shilong County. In September 1961, Nan'an People's Commune and Dong'an People's Commune were established, belonging to Tongqing District. In January 1963, the district was withdrawn and merged into a commune to establish Changqi People's Commune, which is located in Changqiwei and has jurisdiction over 12 production brigades. In October 1983, Changqi People's Commune was withdrawn and reestablished as Changqi District, with its headquarters in Changqiwei and jurisdiction over 12 townships. In February 1987, Changqi District was removed and Changqi Town was established. As of October 2021, Changqi Town governs 1 community and 13 administrative villages. The town people's government is located in Changxing Street, Huazhou.
