How to raise pearl turtle?

Pearl turtle, also known as Chinese turtle, has high ornamental value. It is named because there is a pearl-like spot on its nail, which looks like a pearl. Pearl turtle belongs to a kind of water turtle. It is gentle, does not attack people, is not picky about food, and does not avoid eating, so it has strong vitality.

Pearl turtle is a water turtle, so the cultured species can't live without water. It is suggested that turtle friends buy a turtle tank as big as possible, because the flower turtle will grow very big to avoid the trouble of changing the tank in the future. In addition, they should prepare a terrace, a filter, some pebbles/pebbles/water and sand and some aquatic plants. Dry tap water for at least 24 hours.

1. Water depth: 2~5 times that of tortoise shell, and small tortoise is shallow.

2. Land: Turtles must live where there is water and land, so the terraced fields mentioned above come in handy.

3. Heating rod: Flower turtles like warm water, and 25~30 degrees is the most suitable. The temperature of the heating rod should be set at 28℃. Remember that the heating rod must be adsorbed on the bottom or lower end of the container and out of the water to avoid danger.

4. Others: If there is a filter screen, it is good to adsorb it at the bottom of the container. Small stones and the like can be washed and sprinkled in water. Remember to wash it again when changing water. Turtles live on meat, and aquatic plants are unlikely to chew it. You can plant some trees.

About the feeding of pearl turtle Jr.

Chinese turtles have no special requirements for food selection. Unlike other turtles, China turtles prefer to eat some meat. Although it can eat some turtle food, it can't satisfy all its nutrition, so it needs to feed some fish and so on.

Chinese turtles can feed pork, fish, shrimp and so on. Under daily feeding conditions, especially millet and shrimp. Feed it three times a week, and the amount of food eaten each time can be appropriately increased by 5% of the turtle's weight, but it should not be increased suddenly, and it should be gradually adapted to avoid indigestion. The feed of Trionyx sinensis, whether animal or plant, should be kept fresh to prevent corruption. When the temperature is not high, it can be fed in the morning, and it should not be fed too much to prevent the residual bait from polluting the water quality.

In summer, the water temperature is around 34℃, and turtles eat a lot. At this time, the feeding amount should be increased to accelerate the growth of turtles. If you don't have to breed, you can feed it 2 ~ 3 times a week. Change the water in Qin Ying every day (before feeding), but the well water can't be used, so as to avoid the adverse consequences caused by the excessive temperature difference of water. Autumn is the key to raising turtles. As the saying goes, bones are nourished in spring and fattened in autumn, and the amount of nutrients stored in turtle body directly affects the success or failure of hibernation. Therefore, in autumn, firstly, the feeding amount should be increased, and secondly, vitamin C and multivitamins should be added to the bait to improve the resistance of soft-shelled turtles.

Matters needing attention in raising pearl turtle

1. Water change: unfiltered water is changed every two days, and filtered water is changed every two weeks. After changing the water, please note that the turtle must be put into the water when the water temperature is reheated to the original temperature, so as to avoid pneumonia caused by large temperature difference.

2. Sunbathing: Turtles must sunbathe their backs-that is, sunbathe their nails with the sun. Sunlight should shine on the turtle tank for at least 2 hours every day.

3 Daily attention should also be paid to the change of ambient temperature, which is about 18℃ at night, so as to avoid backfiring and causing diseases.

Good breeding in autumn is beneficial to the hibernation of turtles. In winter, turtles can hibernate on wet beaches or in pools with water depth of 10 cm. The water temperature should not be lower than 8 degrees. Otherwise, the hibernation safety of turtles will be threatened.
