Did Xiaozhuang marry Dourgen later?

"Cixi married" is one of the eight mysteries in Qing Dynasty. The broadcast of the TV series "The Secret History of Xiaozhuang" has aroused people's discussion again. I will sort out the relevant statements and see if these "statements" are reasonable.

Argument 1: political marriage to safeguard the throne

When Huang Taiji died, Zhuang Fei was only 32 years old, and her 6-year-old son Fu Lin succeeded to the throne. One is a widow in her early thirties, and the other is an urchin who can only play. At that time, it was actually Prince Dourgen who was in charge of North Korea's military and political power. Armed to the teeth, he became a man with a firm belief in North Korea. Even the emperor's seal "Yu Xi" was moved to Ruiwangmi for use, so as to rule the world from generation to generation, and the little emperor was in danger of being abolished at any time. It is believed that Xiao Zhuang entrusted himself to his brother-in-law Dourgen in order to keep the throne of the emperor shunzhi.

Argument 2: Manchu old custom: Brother marries sister-in-law.

In old Manchuria, there was a custom: when the father died, the son married his concubine; After his brother died, he married his sister-in-law. Thus, in the early Qing Dynasty, the intermarriage between brothers and uncles became a common phenomenon. Under such a historical background, it is understandable that Xiao Zhuang, who is widowed in his prime, should combine with his brother-in-law Dourgen, who is in his prime.

Argument 3: dourgen's title of "imperial father"

People who hold the idea of marrying down especially emphasize that Dourgen in Shunzhi dynasty openly claimed to be the emperor's father, and his title was called "the emperor's father's regent". Only when the emperor's mother married down can Dourgen be called "the emperor's father". It is believed that the change of dourgen's appellation reflects the process of the marriage between the queen mother and dourgen from secret to public.

Argument 4: The emperor's decree exposed defects.

In the seventeenth year of Shunzhi (1660),1February 24th, due to the death of Li, the nurse, Shunzhi sent a letter to the Ministry of Rites, in which there was a passage: "When King Rui was regent, the Empress Dowager lived separately from me, and it took a long time to meet each other, so that the Empress Dowager missed her. The nurse tried her best to protect her and seduce her in every way. Empress Dowager Cixi missed her goodness and was relieved. " This inadvertently revealed that young the emperor shunzhi and his mother, Xiaozhuang, lived in different palaces, while the Empress Dowager did not live in the palace. Otherwise, why do mother and son "meet once a month"? Why didn't Empress Dowager Cixi go to see the emperor? Why didn't the emperor visit his biological mother to understand the "missing feelings of Empress Dowager Cixi"? In the matter of slapping, there must be a force beyond the two that destroys the love between mother and son. Who else is there in this army besides Dourgen?

Argument 5: The story of Feng Shui Wall

According to the funeral system in the early Qing Dynasty, the queen and concubines were finally buried with the emperor. However, Xiaozhuang was buried outside the Feng Shui wall of the Qing Dongling in Zunhua, instead of being buried with the Qing Taizong in Zhaoling, Shenyang. Some people think that this is a deliberate arrangement for Xiao Zhuang to meet Huang Taiji in the underworld because of remarriage. There is indeed such a record in historical materials. The queen mother said in her will that she was "humble and disrespectful" and could not bear to disturb Huang Taiji again. It was really an excuse. Kangxi naturally knew the mind of his grandmother Xiaozhuang. However, Kangxi felt that there was no precedent for burying his grandmother alone, which was a very difficult thing. So he left this problem to his son Yongzheng, and left Xiao Zhuang's coffin on the ground of Dongling for 38 years, until the third year of Yongzheng (1725), when Xiao Zhuang was buried. It should also be noted that the Five Emperors, 14 Empress and 136 Concubine buried with the Qing Dongling were all buried in the Feng Shui Wall, and only Xiaozhuang was buried outside the Feng Shui Wall. Why is this?

Argument 6: Someone has seen The Imperial Decree of the Queen Mother's Marriage.

1946 10 Modern scholars wrote Notes on Prince Dorje's Mansion, the father of the Qing Dynasty, in which it was written that in the first year (1909), his father Wei Liu was ordered to clean up the cabinet files. "When Shunzhi, the Queen Mother married the father of the Regent. If there is such an imperial edict in the world, it is undoubtedly the most authoritative evidence that the Queen Mother got married.
