In the second year of Wei Huang (22 1), Sun Quan went from Gongan to Duer, and Wuchang County was Wuchang County, Xialuo County, Xunyang County, Yangxin County, Chaisang County and Shaxian County. Governance is located in Wuchang County (now Ezhou City). It belongs to Jingzhou. In April of the first year of Wu Huanglong (229), Sun Quan proclaimed himself emperor in Wuchang.
Wuchang is now the Xiakou area of Jiangxia County at that time. The distance between them is about one hundred miles.
