Among them, tropical cyclones in the northwest Pacific and the South China Sea are named with Asian-style names. The naming method is: develop a naming list in advance, and then follow the order Recycle and reuse year after year.

This naming list contains 140 names, provided by 14 member countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific region to which WMO belongs. Among them, "Kanu" is one of the 10 names provided by Thailand, which means jackfruit.
