Luo (scientific name: Luo Hansong. D .Don), alias Taxodium ascendens, Podocarpaceae, Podocarpus evergreen coniferous tree, with a height of 20 meters and a DBH of 60 cm; Bark gray or grayish brown, shallow longitudinal crack, peeling off;
Branches spread or spread obliquely, tightly. Leaves spirally inserted, strip-lanceolate, slightly curved. The male bulb is axillary and has several triangular bracts at the base;
Female cones are solitary in leaf axils, with peduncles and some bracts at the base. The seed is ovoid, the apex is round, the fleshy aril is purple-black when mature, with white powder, and the receptacle is cylindrical, red or purplish red.
The flowering period is April-May, and the seeds mature in August-September.
