Hailing Island in Yangjiang enjoys the reputation of "Beidaihe in the South" and "Hawaii in the East" and is known as a piece of rough jade. The total land area of Hailing Island is 108.89 square kilometers, of which the main island area is 105 square kilometers, the regional coastline is 104 kilometers, the main island coastline is 75.5 kilometers, and the sea area is 640 square kilometers.
Hailing Island is located in the south subtropical zone, surrounded by the sea, with an average annual temperature of 22.3 с. There is no cold in winter, no heat in summer, four seasons like spring, and the bathing time is as long as 8 months. There are 105 species of marine fish with economic value in Hailing Island, and there are more than 20 species that can be developed and cultured.

Hailing used to be called Luozhou, also known as Luodao (or Luozhou, Luozhou). That's because its terrain is like a horizontal conch shell. Later, with the change of geography, Hailing gradually rose from the sea and became a veritable "mountain in the sea" with endless vision. This is called Hailing.
Guyang River belongs to Songkang County (around 432 AD) and is called Hailing Mausoleum (county). According to historical records, Hailing Island has been regarded as a coastal military fortress since the Ming Dynasty. After the Opium War, while renting Hong Kong Island, the British government proposed to lease Hailing Island, which was not approved by the China government. Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the pioneer of the democratic revolution, also put forward the idea of developing Hailing into a commercial port in the general plan of founding the country.
