As a disciple of the Buddha, you are not allowed to ask for fortune-telling, ask evil spirits, perform incantations, abhor monsters, perform sacrifices in temples, interpret music, and you are not allowed to choose a good day or a good time.
The Buddha also gave an example here. There are not many examples. Everything that falls into this category is called worldly meaning. If a Buddhist disciple does the following things, you must know that this is worldly intention. What? Divination, fortune-telling, and fortune-telling are all worldly matters, including reading Feng Shui, and always wishing you good luck. These people know your psychology and take advantage of your weaknesses to spread rumors and cause trouble. However, some people say that their calculations are accurate and true, so everyone should do the calculations. Before we began to learn Buddhism, we ourselves were unavoidable. Especially when we were in adversity and everything failed to go smoothly, we always wanted to find a wise person to ask for advice. Is it really effective? It's hard to say, but guidance often has some effect. The effect comes from experience, just like we also have some experience now. Why? Many people come to ask questions every day. We meet a lot of people and hear a lot of things, and learn from them. People who read fortunes, tell fortunes, and divine fortune-telling are very experienced and have contact with a wide range of people, so they can absorb knowledge from this. When you ask a question, it makes sense for him to think about people who had the same problem in the past and how they solved it, so that he can provide it to you as a reference.
But why can’t Buddhist disciples do it? Buddhist disciples have a higher realm. What realm? I teach you to cultivate sincerity, purity, equanimity, and compassion. All problems have been resolved. Do you still need to do these things? If you do this, you still have doubts in your mind. If you didn't have doubts, you wouldn't ask him again. If you go to the temple to do divination and ask for a fortune, you still have doubts in your mind, so you can't ask for the evil spell.
