Where do the cliff stone carvings in Yin Chao Cave of Putuo Mountain belong?

Yin Chao Cave Cliff Stone Carving in Putuo Mountain is a cultural relic protection unit in Zhejiang Province.

Mount Putuo Yin Chao Cave Cliff Stone Carving is located in Putuo Town, Putuo District, Zhoushan City, dating from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

Yin Chao Cave is located in Putuo Zizhulin Mountain Scenic Area, at the foot of Longwan, only 200 meters away from the parking lot. The name "Chaoxue" is actually a pun. On the one hand, because the cave swallows tide day and night, it sounds like Lei Yin; On the other hand, "tidal sound" is used as a metaphor for "Buddhist sound". The mouth of the cave is choppy day and night, and its sound is like Guanyin's lecture, and it is like a thousand monks chanting scriptures. It is wonderful, hence the name. Tidal holes are formed by cracks in rocks, which are tens of meters high from the cliff to the foot of the mountain and semi-submerged in the sea. There are two doors in the cave, as bright as a skylight, and the tide surges into the cave, and the waves and stones are excited and sound like thunder. When the tide is high, you can look down at the rocks, just like a jiaozi, full of danger, and it sounds like thunder; On a sunny day, the colorful neon lights in the cave are flashing, which is a spectacle. It is the "ancient cave tidal sound" of one of the twelve scenic spots in Putuo Mountain.

During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, the anti-Japanese generals erected a monument here "It is forbidden to lay down one's life and burn one's fingers". The stone carvings inscribed by General Xu Jingxing in the Ming Dynasty and Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty still remain on the stone walls in the cave and become important cultural relics on the Maritime Silk Road.

The cliff is engraved with the three characters "Tide Hole", which was written by Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. Legend has it that the original inscription here was "the place of appearance", and most ancient believers prayed for Guanyin to appear here to worship.
