The geographical environment of Guiping

Guiping is a subtropical city with mild climate (annual average temperature 2 1.4 degrees and relative humidity 80%), abundant rainfall (annual average rainfall 1726.7mm) and abundant sunshine (annual average sunshine 1.700 hours, frost-free period of more than 339 days).

Guiping is located in the low latitude area, with the Tropic of Cancer running through it and the ocean in the south, which belongs to the south subtropical monsoon climate. In the summer half year (April to September), due to the influence of hot and humid summer monsoon, southerly winds blow; The winter half year (10 ~ March of the following year) is affected by the dry and cold winter wind, with more northerly winds. The general characteristics are: high temperature, abundant sunshine and abundant rainfall, but uneven distribution. There is heavy rain in summer, prone to floods, drought in spring and autumn, and frost in winter. The main streams of the transit rivers in Guiping are Qianjiang, Yujiang and Jiang Xun, all of which belong to Xijiang River system in the Pearl River Basin. Qianjiang River and Yujiang River flow in from northwest and southwest respectively, and meet in the county seat to form Jiang Xun. This river has 45 tributaries, and smaller streams are densely covered. The basin covers an area of 4,056 square kilometers (excluding Qianjiang, yujiang county and Jiang Xun, the same below). The main rivers in the county are 992.95 kilometers long, with an average annual runoff of 4.056 billion cubic meters and a minimum flow of 2 1.245 cubic meters per second. Rivers generally flow eastward along the terrain, and the main streams of Qianjiang, Yujiang and Jiang Xun pass through, with tributaries distributed on both sides, like old tree fillers, and the river density is 0.248 kilometers per square kilometer, forming a water system.
