Linshui Town is an ancient town in the northwest of Huoqiu County, Anhui Province, located at the foot of Gubi Mountain and on the south bank of Huaihe River. Located at the junction of Gushi, Huoqiu and Funan provinces in Henan and Anhui, the Shihe River and Quanhe River originating from Dabie Mountain meet the Huaihe River here, and Gubi Mountain and Piaoba Mountain in the territory are adjacent to Mopan Mountain, forming a unique pattern of "the thoroughfare of three counties, the intersection of three rivers and the connection of three mountains". Waterfront is rich in natural resources, willow, building materials, etc., and the quality of water resources is excellent.

By the end of 20 1 1, Linshui Town had jurisdiction over Linshui, Li Lou, Siwei, Sanying, Wutai, Futai, Zhaotai, Chencun, Wang Gang, Laoying, He Miao, Zhang Ying, Sikou, Li Ji, Zhanglou and Weigang.
As of June 2020, Linshui Town governs 16 administrative villages: Linshui Village, Wutai Village, Sanying Village, Siwei Village, Li Lou Village, Chencun Village, zhao tai cun Village, Wanggang Village, Laoying Village, Futai Village, Zhang Miao Village, Sikou Village, Weigang Village, Zhanglou Village and He Miao Village.
