1. The climate is very complicated. One day in the mountains, things rain. This doesn't mean that it doesn't rain in your area. You don't know that the danger is not far from you.
2. The reaction time is short. In mountainous rivers, when it rains, the river rises and falls sharply, and people downstream have no time to react. We call it bamboo tube water or bottled water. The flood peak will come directly and will not rise slowly. In this case, there is only ten seconds to escape.
The reasons for the appearance of Longcaogou in Longmenshan Town, Pengzhou City, Chengdu are:
1. Longcaogou is located at the edge of Longmen Mountain, which is the most edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau descending to the junction of Chengdu Plain. Not far ahead is Chengdu Plain, and Longcaogou is in the marginal mountainous area. Longcaogou is a mountain stream, the ravine is concave, and Longcaogou is at the bottom of the concave. There is a big gap between the surrounding mountains, and the whole ravine is like a huge funnel.
2. The rainfall in this area is always abundant, and it is rainy every summer, especially prone to local short-term heavy rainfall. However, the local short-term heavy rainfall in this mountainous area may be sunny or cloudy nearby.
3. The climate along Longmen Mountain is cool, and it is close to Chengdu, which is generally 1 hour by car. It has always been a traditional summer resort in Chengdu. Every summer, many families take old people and children to swim in these ravines to escape the heat, especially on weekends, which are almost crowded with people. At the time of the incident, there happened to be local heavy rainfall in the upper part of Longcaogou, and it was a once-in-a-decade heat on Saturday. As can be seen in the video, there were many tourists at that time, and various factors were superimposed together, and the tragedy happened.
Mountain torrents are everywhere, and how they happen is a natural phenomenon. Man-made disasters can be completely avoided. As long as you fear life, rules and nature? The question is, does nature punish you for ignoring everything?
The above is my personal opinion, hoping to help you.
