According to legend, a long time ago, Mulan Lake was once a flat land. The land here is fertile, outstanding people and people live and work in peace and contentment. One day, a sudden strong wind blew, flying sand and stones, and a flaming red ribbon fell from the sky. Then there was a downpour, lightning and thunder, as if the sky were falling. People are afraid to go out, so they can only pray to the sky with their doors closed. Overnight, a mountain peak suddenly rose on this flat land. Since then, the fertile land here has been destroyed, and droughts and floods have continued every year, and crops have never been harvested. It doesn't help that ordinary people worship Buddha and pray all day. Later, a Taoist told the farmer in a dream that the hill was descended from the sky by a dragon, and the hill was descended from the sky by a dragon. They are all patrons of the Jade Emperor. Because he offended the Jade Emperor, he was banished to the world, and this place became a land of dragons, and crops and trees could not grow. There is still a saying that maple trees can't be planted alive.
Later, some people here ran away from home, and some didn't want to leave the old place where their ancestors lived, so they invited a Feng Shui gentleman to take the pulse to eliminate the disaster. Mr. Feng Shui walked around here several times, saying that this is a place where dragons and lions fight, and it's strange that the people don't suffer. To suppress evil spirits, a tower must be built. According to Mr. Feng Shui, the people chose an auspicious day and built a tall tower on this mountain, but the tower began to fall down and fell down several times in succession. The common people had no choice but to invite Mr. Feng Shui again. After watching it for a long time, Mr. Feng Shui said that the tower was in the wrong position and should be built on the lion's ear to prevent it from falling down, so as to curb the dispute between the dragon and the lion. The people really did what Mr. Feng Shui said, but the tower didn't fall. Since then, the weather here has been fine again, and the people have lived a life of peace and contentment. Later, people named this place "Targang", and this name has been used to this day in Targang Street where Mulan Lake is located.
The magical Xianhe Temple legend tells that General Mulan practiced martial arts in Qingshiling since childhood. One day, an urchin saw Mulan's natural beauty, as beautiful as a fairy, and suddenly had evil thoughts and wanted to flirt with her. Mulan was angry from her heart and whipped the urchin, which caused great disaster. This incident was reported to Mulan's master Tieguan, who accused her of bullying the weak. Mulan's master made no distinction and demoted Mulan to the harem to practice martial arts by herself. Mulan didn't dare to disobey the teacher's orders and got up and went at once. When Mulan rode down the mountain, dozens of cranes and egrets flying from the horizon surrounded her. Mulan's riding is also loud, and she takes Mulan and the crane to a small lake called Tian Yan to practice martial arts. Whenever you go to a wonderful place, a pair of cranes stand at the top of the tree and flap their wings. A few years later, Mulan took the place of her father to learn martial arts and joined the army, and dozens of cranes also quietly left. The locals also find it amazing and strange, and they can't understand it. They just thought it was the will of the gods to practice Mulan's aura, so they built a temple on the back hill of Tian Yan and named it "Xianhe Temple" to show their piety and seek the blessing of the gods.
Now, perhaps it is the return of the gods, or perhaps it is the aura of General Mulan. In the Chunshugang Peninsula near Mulan Lake, people have already seen egrets-descendants of cranes. Some of these birds fly from autumn to spring, and some go to Qiu Lai in spring. They thrive in Mulan Lake, the hometown of General Mulan, and live on a mountain for a long time, with a total number of more than100000. These various herons meet with nature, forming a beautiful and moving picture. It attracts countless Chinese and foreign tourists to visit here, making the once quiet Mulan Lake lively and jubilant, rippling with the breath of the times.
The origin of Qingshui River
According to legend, a long time ago, Mulan Lake was called Tian Yan instead of this name, and Qingshui River was called Muddy Water River (Heishui River) instead of this name. At that time, the banks of the muddy water river were full of flowers, green grass and quiet environment, but the river was muddy. One day, accompanied by a crane, Little Mulan rode a flying horse to the river and wanted to dance sword there. Practice martial arts by yourself. Hearing this, the river god worried that the muddy river would pollute Mulan's fairy-like body and turn all the muddy water into clear water overnight.
Day after day, year after year, Mulan devoted herself to practicing martial arts by the river. When she was hungry, she took a sip of the river to satisfy her hunger. When she was tired, she lay by the river and rested. A few years later, Mulan finally developed a good martial arts and joined the army for her father. The muddy river where Mulan bathed in drinking horses was more clear, transparent, pure and fragrant. Whenever passers-by pass by here, they should wash their hands and drink water by the river and feel the fairy spirit of Mulan. It is said that this can eliminate disasters and turn evil into good.
In memory of General Mulan, people renamed Tian Yan Mulan Lake and Muddy Water River Qingshui River.
Mulan Jiangjun Temple
On the west bank of Mulan Lake, along Panshan Highway and three miles to the west, it is a general temple where people admire women heroes. According to "Mulan Ancient Biography", "Give Jia Yixiao, give a swift horse stability, and make it late. Mulan took off her military uniform and put on her old clothes ... A stone's throw away from the General Temple, there is a tall cemetery, which is said to be the burial place of General Mulan. The mountain pond under the grave is like a mirror, and the flowers are scattered; The pine branches are wet and green, and the breeze blows gently. Literati and writers of past dynasties yearn for the past and win, and there are many poems. Historian Zhang Tao wrote in Song of General Mulan: "Grass grows on Mulan Mountain, and incense bones are buried in the Imperial Temple of the shogunate. ..... If you don't see me, the Tang Mausoleum is lying in the Han Dynasty, so they all sigh and leave. Only Mulan Mountain will not change, and Qingshan will be alone. " There is a tall tombstone in General Cemetery with the words "Mulan General Cemetery" engraved on it.
The existing General Cemetery was built in the Tang Dynasty, and it was renovated many times in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Today, a pair of stone lions and a thousand-year-old ginkgo tree in front of the temple are still well preserved.
