Who named Qin Fangmen?

Qin Fangmen was named by Jia Baoyu.

Qin Fangmen is a scene in the seventeenth episode of A Dream of Red Mansions. A Dream of Red Mansions: Baoyu took a set of Hui Zhen Ji and sat on a stone under the peach blossom beside Qinfang Gate Bridge. He unfolded Hui Zhen Ji and played it carefully from the beginning.

The source of this "Qin Fangquan" actually comes from Yuquan Mountain, so Jia Zheng called Baoyu nonsense. Outside the Forbidden City, there is a moat all around, commonly known as Tongzi River. Heyuan comes from Yuquan Mountain. After being introduced into Beijing, it flows into Jishuitan. One of them flows into Haopu River via Beihai, flows eastward through Jingshan City Wall, flows into the moat in the northwest corner of the Forbidden City, and then flows into the Forbidden City through the trench under the city wall, which is called Neijinshui River. Another tributary flows eastward from Zhongnanhai, passes through Zhongshan Park, and then flows southward to Tiananmen Square. This is the so-called Waijinshui River.

Ancient architecture in China attaches great importance to the context of "water", and Feng Shui requires "water" to come from the dry side and from the fork side. Therefore, the rivers in the Forbidden City must be introduced from the dry side (west) and exported to the fork side (southeast) of the Forbidden City. Among the other five elements, gold is west, so this river is called "Jinshui River".

Three ultimate meanings of the word "Qin Fang";

The first layer: Metaphor proves the source of Jia's wealth.

Qin Shuo Wen Jie Zi Zhu Shui. Out of Shangdang Yangtou Mountain, into the southeast river.

It is generally believed that water is a symbol of wealth and represents family prosperity. Qinshui originated from Shangdang, which means that the prosperity of Jia family comes from war. In fact, Ning Wang Yan Jia and Rong Wang Jia Yuan are both half-brothers. They really started with meritorious military service in those years, ranking second among the Eight Princes, which can be described as outstanding meritorious military service. It is also mentioned in the book that Jia's ancestors narrowly escaped death and climbed out of the dead to spell out this huge family business.

The second layer: The dark singing of Jia Lin's ignorant love.

Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu. We found that the water under Qin Fangting flowed from Xiaoxiang Pavilion where Lin Daiyu lived, which is why Jia Baoyu named it Qin Fang. Imagine that the water from Qinfangmen flowed out of Xiaoxiang Pavilion, wrapped in the fragrance of Daiyu, and Baoyu seemed to vaguely smell the fragrance in the water. What kind of yearning for love would that be?

The third layer: the tragic ending of "three spring leaves are fragrant"

If you take the word "Qin Fang" apart, you can't leave the meaning of running water. Some people say that the word "Qin Fang" originated from Wang Shifu's The West Chamber. When Cui Yingying came to power, there was a lyric: "When flowers fall into the water, there are many kinds of worries, and there is no language to complain about the east wind."

But Wen Gongzi thinks that the real source of the word "Qin Fang" should be the word "Langtaosha Nostalgia" written by Li Yu. Running water is gone, and spring is gone. The past is only sad, but it is difficult to arrange the scenery. Moss invaded the courtyard in the autumn wind.
