Wutai Mountain is not only the name of a mountain, but also five peaks. At the top of the five platforms, there are five dharma bodies of Manjusri Bodhisattva, also known as five Manjusri Faces. Generally speaking, Wutai Mountain people only refer to Taihuai Town, which is a trip to Wutai Mountain. This is not the case in Taiwan Province Province. Taiwan Province Province consecrated holy places and expressed his belief in Buddhism and Manjusri Bodhisattva. There are two kinds: small stage and big stage.
Chaotai:
That is, all the five steps at the top of the mountain came down to worship, traveled all over the mountain road, visited the five steps, and worshipped Manjusri Bodhisattva at the top of the five steps. This is the "super platform". There are two routes to Taiwan Province, right and wrong. This time, the route is counterclockwise, and the direction to Taiwan Province Province is relatively dense.
Chaotai:
That is, to go to Dailuoding in the center of Taihuai town to worship. Because there are five sets of Manjusri Bodhisattvas, you don't need to go to every peak to worship, just climb the top of Dailuo 1000 steps.
Legend: Walking through all five platforms and going to Taiwan Province Province once is equivalent to practicing for 500 years.
In Wutai Mountain "Dachaotai", although there is no danger of the Sichuan-Tibet line, it also needs strong endurance. It is not easy to cross the top of five platforms on foot in a day and a half. It's not easy to walk on a mountain road of 50-60 kilometers, sometimes it's flat, sometimes it's steep, sometimes it climbs hundreds of meters, and then it descends hundreds of meters, especially at the border controlled by Wu Ye. The weather changes at will, sometimes sunny, sometimes windy and rainy, sometimes stormy and snowy, and the changeable climate is another obstacle to the platform.
Only by really going in can we better understand the uniqueness of Wutai Mountain and face the difficulties of Taiwan Province Province.
2. Pushou Temple Night School
On this day, I was lucky enough to attend Pushou Temple Night School, the largest women's Buddhist college in China.
The life of a nun is simple and lonely. They must obey 348 commandments. They get up at three in the morning and turn off the lights at ten in the evening. They only have an hour lunch break at noon. They only eat breakfast and lunch every day. The rest of the time is spent chanting, working and doing homework. They must abide by Buddhism in word and deed.
The evening self-study begins at 7: 30 pm, and the queue starts around 7: 00. Listen to the teacher's instructions and go to the main hall to recite the scriptures. All the people walk in front, wearing brown robes and cassocks, only when they go to the temple. Like me, I walked outside at the end of the team. There was no sound in the long queue except for subtle footsteps and a few slight coughs.
Even if I have no religious belief, I can feel a unique solemnity. It's like dreaming that they can fight the sword to the ends of the earth, but they are just ancient Buddhists, cultivating their hearts and minds and practicing.
According to the master's instructions, enter the main hall and start a day's evening self-study. The nuns have recited the scriptures. As the wooden fish beat faster and faster, they sang faster and faster. Sometimes, they have to recite more than 20 words in one breath to breathe a sigh of relief. When chanting Buddha, Zhong Ni's tall and straight body is solemn and has a natural dignity.
It's hard to kneel or stand still for an hour or two. It is also a lie that the book says, "Be a monk for a day and hit the bell for a day"!
It's really shocking that the female monk can recite the scriptures so beautifully after a night of self-study! In fact, I did my homework for an hour, but I didn't know anything. From the beginning, reading at dusk was a very special experience, but I couldn't understand what the female monk was reading. Later, I can recite it slowly.
Evening classes usually end at nine o'clock. Walking out of the temple, it was dark all around, and the mountains seemed to be swallowed up by the night and lost their outline. Because I was afraid that the lamp would attract insects, I accidentally trampled to death, leaving only one bright lamp.
Hong Men Rock is the place where all outdoor hikers dream of starting, and it is also the starting point facing Taiwan Province Province counterclockwise. People gathered here to start a day's hiking. In my heart, I prefer to make it a pious road, which is different from other hiking routes. Although I don't believe in Buddhism, I don't think I can desecrate it in such a sacred place.
Although it is summer, the morning in Wutai Mountain is still very cold, and many people sniffle with cold. From Hongmenyan to Dongtai is Shanshi Road, about 1.7 km, and it takes about 40 minutes to reach the top of the mountain. Everyone is quick, it may be the first day. Mental and physical strength are still at their best.
Dongtai Wanghaishan, 2795 meters above sea level, has Wanghai Temple at the top of the mountain, which is dedicated to intelligent Manjusri. Many donkey friends or pilgrims come to watch the sunrise. Cigarettes curl up with the morning sun, and the silence of devout worshippers adds a bit of mystery to the whole Wanghai Temple.
The platform stopped to rest and saw the clouds under its feet. How spectacular! The sky is so blue and the clouds are so white, I have the impulse to reach out and catch the clouds. I can't find a more suitable language to describe the sky of Wutai Mountain. Let me show you the picture directly.
After the original road returns to the Hongmen Banquet, there is a dirt road in the northwest of the road that can go straight to Beitai. I brought a water cup and two bottles of water in the morning. May be too much equipment, feeling heavier and heavier. /kloc-I had to throw a bottle of mineral water after 0/0 minutes.
Hong Men Rock overlooks Taihuai Town. The iconic white tower of Tayuan Temple can be clearly seen, and even the smoke from Pushou Temple can be seen. Taiwan Province Province is pregnant with the name of the town, just right. In the arms of the five stops, it is really a treasure trove of feng shui.
3. Hongmen Banquet-Dongtai
From Hong Men Rock to Beitai, it's about12km, the longest walk, about 3-5 hours, rising 540m. There are zigzag sections, hiking routes and stone steps in some sections. Standing on the top of Dongtai Mountain, you can see the top of North Taiwan Province Province. Not far away, a dead horse is a living horse doctor.
One third away from Hong Men Rock, there is a small temple-Fayun Temple, which is usually used as a supply point for drinking water. The section from Fayun Temple to the middle of the roof of North China is crosscutting, which is the hardest section in a day. One third from the top of the platform is the arch of the roof of North China, which is also a famous landmark at the top of the platform.
The roof of North China can also be used as a supply here. Downstairs are apples, cucumbers, tomatoes, melons and red bull instant noodles sold by local people, which can be brewed with boiling water. They are all 10 yuan, which is really not expensive.
Due to the strict management of scenic spots recently, private cars are rarely seen on the top of the basic platform, only cars from Chaotai Company and some temples. So a two-day walk means that you'd better walk on your own.
Take it easy. We only walked two-thirds of the way from Beitai Bay to the roof of North China. The only stone road on the top of the five platforms is from Hongyanpu to the top of the north platform, which was donated by a layman in Taiwan Province Province.
I thought I had reached the top of the North Platform, but I didn't. The real Beitai is still far away, and the building on the top of the mountain in the distance is the wild bucket peak of Beitai! The North Platform is the highest of the five platforms, and the Ye Dou Peak is 3058 meters long.
On the top of the north terrace is Ling Ying Temple, dedicated to Manjusri Bodhisattva. Ying Si is too young. If you put it in Taihuai Town or any other bustling city, it is estimated that it will be used as a public toilet. Although the temple is small, manjusri incense is strong. Many tourists rent a car to go to Beitaipingding just to make a pilgrimage to Manjusri Bodhisattva.
It's no exaggeration. In North Taiwan Province Province, I really lay down in North Taiwan Province Province. At the moment I lay down, I hated the climbing that made my thighs ache and the high altitude that made me breathless. But on the other hand, I am secretly happy: another stage has passed.
At this moment, as soon as I lie down, I don't even want to get up, as if my physical strength has reached its limit. The farther you go, the greater your physical exertion.
4. Hongmen Banquet-Beitai
You can clearly see that the middle platform starts from North Station and goes downhill all the way, not far, about 6 kilometers, and the journey takes about 2.5 hours. However, I am not happy when going downhill, because I have worked hard to climb such a high slope. Now I've been going downhill, Ann.
On the way to China and Thailand, we must first pass the bathing place, which is the so-called Halloween bathing place. In ancient times, there were springs and water was a pool. It is said that Manjusri Bodhisattva took a bath. All the way down, this section is a good time to recover. There is no obvious path, so you can cut diagonally from the rock.
Toilets on the hilltops of Taiwan Province Province are hard to find and the conditions are very difficult. This is a dry toilet. Very crowded. There are three or four pits in the toilet. The toilet pit is deep and ventilated at the foot of the mountain. The wind is really strong.
The little friend who came together also brought his seven-month-old golden hair. It's really cute. Everyone likes it. In fact, on the first afternoon, the dog was already very tired and sobbed at the owner's feet, but when the owner lifted his feet, he persisted. Do you really think: you are not as good as a Wang Xing?
The stage in the middle is called Cui Fengyan, and there is a temple for performance teaching above the stage, which is dedicated to children and children's manjusri. At the top of the platform is the most spectacular platform, dedicated to the huge Manjusri Bodhisattva, with a solemn appearance. When you approach the statue, you can show your respect immediately. It seems that there are countless groups of different forms and magnificent Buddha statues.
Preface to the wall of Zhongtai-Xitai-Xilai Temple
From the middle section to the west section, it begins to go downhill, which is steep. If your knee is not good, you must wear knee pads. At the foot of the memorial arch of the West Stage, go straight along the right hand side and you can pay the bill at Xilai Temple (order fee 100 yuan). You will pass by Ba Ding Shui, so be sure to drink more. The whole journey is about 4 kilometers.
Generally speaking, the hanging list of Xilai Temple is very good at the top of the platform, and the free mage in the temple is really good. Any problem you want to find him is always solved after you are busy. The teachers on the mountain are really good, really, every teacher along the way is very good! It's all practical, and the conditions are very bitter!
The master told us that no matter what, we should know how to be contented and grateful, and at least have a place to live. How many people in the world are homeless and wandering around? Yes, in Buddhism, don't expect too much. Only a greedy heart can make you happy and live forever. Lying on the wet kang, you are reflecting on yourself. You should learn to be considerate and patient.
After a day's walk, I can still eat a bowl of hot soup noodles, which really comforts my five zang-organs temple. Of course, in the temple, nothing can be wasted. Eat clean and wash the dishes yourself after eating.
Calm down and the world will look good. Just like why the sky here is so blue. In fact, the sky is blue, but on weekdays, our sight is blinded by polluted air, so that we can't see the blue sky. When you stand on the top of the mountain and stay away from those pollutants, you will naturally see the true colors of the blue sky. If the dust on the soul can be washed away all the time, will the world be as clear and quiet as it is now?
The next morning, there was a mineral water bottle filled with Ba Ding Shui in Xilai Temple. You can ask the master to take two empty bottles and pour some Ba Ding Shui yourself.
5. Beitaiwan-Central Taiwan Province
Although the four stations have been completed, the whole road facing the stations is only half completed. South Taiwan Province Province is the most beautiful of the five stops. It's called Jinxiu, and it's definitely worth visiting. Taiwan independence Peak is in Nanping, 36 kilometers away from the west platform. The road from Xitai to Nantai can also be called Despair Road. The reason why it is called a dead end is not how strong it is, but that the road section is dominated by gentle slopes. Walking along Panshan Road is boring and boring.
There are many believers kowtowing along the way. Compared with them, we are far behind!
I am not a religious person. Imagine that hikers mingle with monks from Taiwan Province Province and Korea. Is there a cross? But when you think about it, both of them are the same kind of people. Monks have buddhas in their hearts, while disciples have mountains in their hearts.
According to the master, some time ago, the stupa in the lion cave was so bright that all the people who came to worship Buddha knelt down and cried. The master said, Manjusri Bodhisattva is blessed to educate the people present.
Through the lion's nest, after a slow descent of earth and stone road, about 4.5 kilometers, we arrived at Jingu Temple. The path from Jingu Temple to Nantai is obvious, and the roadside is beautiful. After about 10 minutes in Nantai archway, it gradually entered the forest area. Once you enter the forest, you can't see the top of the terrace. Then, it is a long and slow climb, and the weather station can be seen in the Woods not far away. After about 8 kilometers from here, we arrived at Nantai.
Jinxiu Peak in Nantai is the lowest elevation among the five stations, but it is the highest point among the southern peaks of the five stations. Fossett worships Manjusri Bodhisattva, which is famous for its wisdom among the four great bodhisattvas.
Along the way, the top of the platform is covered with unknown wild flowers, especially in the south of the platform. It's time to visit Wutai Mountain in the world of flowers and plants.
