Why is Xi 'an called the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties?

There are sixteen regimes in Xi 'an. Among them, China has six unified regimes, namely the Western Zhou Dynasty, the Qin Dynasty, the Western Han Dynasty, the Xin Dynasty, the Sui Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty, so it is called "the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties". There were five regimes in the separatist period, namely, pre-Zhao, pre-Qin, post-Qin, Western Wei and Northern Zhou. The last emperor had two regimes, Xian Di in the Eastern Han Dynasty and Chen in the Western Jin Dynasty. There are three peasant uprising regimes, namely Liu Xuan, Liu Pengzi and Huang Chao.

Xi is an ancient city with a long history. From 1 1 century BC to the middle of 10/century AD, there were successively new dynasties established by the Western Zhou Dynasty, the Qin Dynasty, the Western Han Dynasty and Wang Mang, namely, the Eastern Han Dynasty, the Western Jin Dynasty, the former Zhao Dynasty, the former Qin Dynasty, the later Qin Dynasty, the Western Wei Dynasty, the Northern Zhou Dynasty, the Sui Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty.

As an ancient capital, Xi 'an has a long history, which lasted 1 140 years.

Xi is the best tourist destination in China and one of the cities with the most international image in China. There are two and six heritages on the World Heritage List respectively.

They are: Qin Shihuang Mausoleum and Terracotta Warriors, Wild Goose Pagoda, Small Wild Goose Pagoda, Daming Palace Site in Chang 'an in Tang Dynasty, Weiyang Palace Site in Chang 'an in Han Dynasty and Xingjiao Temple Tower.
