Gongwangfu was built in Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty, and was originally the residence of Little Shenyang. Small Shenyang, the surname of Niuzhilu, formerly known as Shanbao. In the history of small Shenyang, he studied hard and never forgets anything, and he was extremely handsome and won the love of Emperor Qianlong. Small Shenyang rose from an ordinary bodyguard officer to assistant minister, command minister, deliberation minister, minister in charge of guards, minister in charge of infantry and minister in charge of military aircraft. At the same time, he also served as a minister, official and soldier of the Ministry of Housing, and became a temporary darling.
After 40 years of Qianlong, Shenyang, a university student, took a fancy to the geomantic treasure-house near the Forbidden City, far away from the western hills, and bought the property here at a high price, becoming the famous "He Shen". After the small Shenyang was executed for corruption in Jiaqing period, the private house here was given to the unpatriotic Qing Wang Yong.
In the fourth year of Jiaqing (1799), in order to celebrate Wang Fu, he gave the small Shenyang mansion to his younger brother (seventeen sons of Qianlong). In the twenty-fifth year of Jiaqing, Wang Yong of Jiaqing County died and lived by his children and grandchildren. During the Tongzhi period, Empress Dowager Cixi presented this temple to Prince Gong and named it "Prince Gong's Palace". Prince Gong Yi? Became the third generation owner of this house.
In the early years of the Republic of China, it was sold to the church by Puwei, the grandson of Prince Gong, and later redeemed as a girls' school by Fu Jen Catholic University. After the founding of New China, Wang Fu was used by many units. 1986 according to the principle of "moving, repairing and opening" put forward by the central leading comrades, the relocation and restoration of the park have been basically completed. From 65438 to 0988, Gongwangfu Garden was officially opened to the public, and it was fully opened to the public after the renovation of the mansion was completed in 2008.
