Heze used to be a natural ancient river, where Ji and Shui meet and come out together, connecting the two major water systems of Guji and Surabaya. It was renamed Longchi in the Tang Dynasty and Xiayue Lake in the Qing Dynasty.
Origin: In the 13th year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty (1735), it was promoted to the prefecture of Guowei County, and Heze was named after "Heshan" in the south and ""in the north.
