During the late Tang Dynasty (approximately 859-960), a wandering eminent monk came to Baiquan and took a fancy to the Lingshan Mountain, which looked like a roaring army, with a green dragon on the left and a white tiger on the right. Green mountains, flat and open terrain, full of spiritual energy, are truly a geomantic treasure. The eminent monk chose to build a temple on this hillside and named it "Jintai Temple".
During the Jingde period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1004-1007), the temple was fully repaired and renamed "Jingde Temple".
During the 30 years of the Republic of China, the scale of the temple buildings further expanded and became quite magnificent. Jingde Temple was once the Shanghui Temple in Fengle Township.
The scale of the temple building has been expanded. The pavilions have colorful eaves and colorful tiles, and the red walls and red couplets are magnificent. The passage inside the temple is paved with green bricks and strips of stone. The overall structure of Jingde Temple is divided into three sections: upper, middle and lower.
