The Historical Evolution of Huangtai Village

Huangshan used to be the place where Xia Qi lived. According to "Mu Chuan", it was once stayed here during the eastward crossing, and it was a "geomantic treasure land" carefully cared for by "two generations of emperors". It is necessary to look for this relic. With this in mind, we came to Guo's station.

Huangtai Village is located in the north of Langchenggang (known as Wang Chenggang before Ming Dynasty), 0/3 km west of Yuzhou City, with 400 households, 2,000 people and more than 2,400 mu of land. This is a very old village. There is one east-west street and four north-south streets, which are patchwork and slightly square. Huangtai County was established here in the first year of the Eastern Wei Dynasty (539), which was abolished in the first year of the Sui Dynasty. When Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty proclaimed the Emperor, Ba Huang was the satrap of Yingchuan. In the county for eight years, the political affairs were cured, and I saw the phoenix in Yingchuan and gave it to Yimin. To this end, Ba Huang built a "terraced field around the mountain" in the west of the village. In the inscription, there are words such as "Nanyuan Huangtai Mountain, where Qi lives". Looking for the masses, Nanyuan is not far away, I look up. Two miles to the south is "Huangtai Mountain". There used to be an ancient village (Juyi), an ancient site with many Han groups. Huang Xiang's Tomb, one of the dutiful sons.

Huang Xiang, a native of Anlu, Hubei Province, lost his mother at the age of nine. After three years of mourning, he was almost haggard. He is filial to his father. After entering the official position, the official is the official. His son was appointed as an official, and the official worshipped Lang. Successively held important positions such as Shangshuling, Qiu, etc., and was later named as the "Village Township Hou". The fief is the area around Xiaogang and Langchenggang in the east of Yuzhou today. Huang Xiang was demoted in his later years because of the flood in Wei County. After returning home, he spent his old age in Yi Township, the fief of his son Huang Qiong. The village is located in the area of today's Guolian Village. Because Huangtaigang used to be the residence of Emperor Xia Qi, which belonged to the "land of emperors in prosperous times" and had excellent geomantic omen, it was predicted before his death and buried here after his death. It is said that the tombstone is also engraved with the words of Huang Xiang's living will: "Bury Huangtaishan".

"Huangtaishan" is1.86m above sea level, with a flat and open top and an area of not less than 2,000 mu. Looking at Juzi in the north, Song Shao in the west, Daling in the south and the hills in eastern Henan, it is indeed an ideal "livable place" for the ancients. Now there is an administrative village called Huangtaizhai, where nearly 2000 people live. I found the remains of Huangtai Mountain and Huang Xiang's tomb here, talked about some legends and historical sites about Huangtai Mountain, and took some photos to share with you.
