It has formed four branches: Jufeng, Sanbiao Mountain, Shimen Mountain and Wushan Mountain. The remaining veins of Laoshan Mountain extend along the east coast to the east of Jimo District, to the coast of Jiaozhou Bay in the west, and to the urban area of Qingdao in the southwest, forming more than ten hills in the urban area.
Humanistic value:
Laoshan Mountain is famous because it stands out from the crowd and changes endlessly. More importantly, it is because of the Taoist culture that has been circulating for more than 2,000 years. This is precisely the famous saying of Liu Yuxi in the Tang Dynasty that "the mountain is not high, the fairy is famous, the water is not deep, and the dragon has spirit". Here mountains and seas are connected, the peaks and valleys are dangerous, and the water is beautiful. Since ancient times, it has been called "the place of ghosts and gods" and "the place of gods".
As a famous historical and cultural mountain, Laoshan Mountain has been a treasure house of Taoist alchemists since Qin and Han Dynasties. In its heyday, there were "nine palaces, eight views and seventy-two temples", and there are still more than a dozen. Taiqing Palace is the largest and oldest Taoist temple in Laoshan Mountain, with a history of more than 2 100 years. It is the representative of Laoshan Taoist culture.
