The indissoluble bond between Princess Wencheng and Tibetan Feng Shui

According to the account of the Fifth Dalai Lama, when Princess Wencheng entered Tibet, she found that the terrain of the whole snowy plateau was like a witch lying on her back in Luo Cha, which was very unlucky in terms of geomantic omen.

In order to suppress the witch Sha Qi, Princess Wencheng built a temple in the witch's heart in Luo Cha and put a statue of Sakyamuni to suppress it, which is the Jokhang Temple we see today. In the Potala Palace on the Red Mountain, the witch's heart and bones were suppressed. Princess Wencheng also built temples on the shoulders, feet, knees, elbows and palms of witches, forming the famous "Twelve Temples of True Demons" in Tibetan history.

Later, in other places with bad feng shui, pagodas, stone lions, Buddha statues, Dapeng and Bailuo were built to transform feng shui. Since then, Tibet has become increasingly strong, and Buddhism has flourished and never failed.

The indissoluble bond between Princess Wencheng and Lhasa.

The indissoluble bond between Princess Wencheng and Lhasa Princess Wencheng is an ambitious woman with both talents and looks. In order to develop Tibet, she brought the advanced culture of the Central Plains, tea, silks and satins, books and a gilded Buddha statue.

In order to marry Princess Wencheng, Songzan Gambu specially built the Potala Palace and personally led the ministers to meet him. He took Princess Wencheng to Lhasa and invited Princess Wencheng to observe astronomy and geography. Princess Wencheng carefully looked at Lhasa several times and told Songzan Gambu that Lhasa had the weather of a king's capital. The sky is like eight golden wheels, which is extremely auspicious; Surrounded by mountains, it is like a lotus with eight petals.

It's just that the terrain in the middle is not very good, and it looks like a rogue lying on his back. Potala hill and Yaowangshan are like two upright breasts of hooligans. They need to build palaces or fortresses to suppress evil spirits. And build a temple in the city center, which is equivalent to the heart of hooligans, and worship my Buddha devoutly, then the evil spirits will become a blessing.

After listening to Princess Wencheng's words, Songzan Gambu admired the princess's knowledge very much, so he sent people to build Jokhang Temple in the city center and build street houses around Jokhang Temple. When Jokhang Temple was renovated, Princess Wencheng planted a willow tree in front of the temple, which still exists today. People call it "Liu Tang" or "Princess Willow".

Later, Ke Li Kezu, son of Songzan Gambu, followed in his father's footsteps and came to the Central Plains to find his relatives. The Tang Dynasty betrothed Princess Jincheng to him, and the monument was erected to show the friendship between the Chinese and Tibetan people for generations. Because Tang Muzong and Keli Kezu belong to the same alliance, and their relationship is uncle and nephew, this monument is also called "Nephew and Uncle Alliance Monument". The tablet is engraved with the oath of friendship for generations and the name and position of the alliance envoy in Chinese and Tibetan. Despite the wind and rain of 1000 years, the inscription is still legible, which is a historical testimony of the friendly relations between the Chinese and Tibetan people.
