Sankongqiao scenic spot

Sankong Bridge, located at the foot of shi ban cun Nongzhang Group Mountain in Jialiang Town today, crosses the Yellow River, and was located in Yangfeng area in ancient times as the main road leading to the outside world (today's chicken farm and Dushan). According to legend, this three-hole bridge was built by Liao, an aristocrat in Dushan (now Dushan) 200 years ago. There are three holes on the bridge, which are three feet high, two and a half feet wide and more than ten feet long. They are all carved with bluestone strips without any adhesive, which is magnificent.

Hundreds of meters above the bridge, there is an arch hole built by digging a mountain, which is also made of bluestone strips. The depth, width and height of this hole are all over ten feet. The interior wall is a huge bluestone slab. After polishing, it is engraved with the inscription of merit. In addition, stone tables and benches are placed in the cave to facilitate passers-by to rest, shelter from the rain and pay tribute to the merits of good people.

/kloc-more than 0/00 years ago, the three-hole bridge was washed away by water and the bridge stones were scattered in the river. Because of the huge project, too much money and materials are needed, the three-hole bridge cannot be repaired and rebuilt. In 1950s, due to the construction of Sankong Bridge Water Conservancy Project, the cornerstone of Sankong Bridge and many bluestones scattered in the river were used to build canals, and even the meritorious monument was not spared, so it was demolished as a ditch crossing the bottom of the canal. Because the three-hole bridge has been damaged for a long time, there are no witnesses for the old people who are still alive today. Many sayings have been handed down from generation to generation, and the only historical witness monument has also been destroyed. This is painful and regrettable.

Although the scenic three-hole bridge in Jialiang Agricultural Park has been submerged in the torrent of history, only some huge and heavy bluestones are still lying at the bottom of the original stone bridge, which can still be clearly seen in the dry season. However, after decades of silence, the canal that became a relic was cleaned and restored in 2004, and it was full of vitality and continued to feed tens of thousands of Buyi people along the Yellow River. The beautiful legend about Sankong Bridge is still sung by Buyi people in Yangfeng from generation to generation.
