Introduction of Maoyu Peak Attractions:
On the east bank of Hukou Waterfall, behind Longwang Temple, there is a solitary peak, which falls from the sky like a hat and is buckled on the east bank of Hukou. In the afterglow of the sunset, from a distance, it seems to be flying, and there is a feeling of peace. This butte is Shimao Mountain, also known as Maoyufeng. It is said that this butte is made of a hat in Yu Wang.
When Dayu cut down the mountain turned into a dragon's tail, he was furious and was raising his axe to cut it. Suddenly, the water turned blue and green. With the strong wind and waves, he raised his hat and threw it on the shore of the lake mouth. It turns out that this cave is the back door of the Dragon King of the South China Sea, and Mengmen Mountain is the stone wall under the back door. This storm is the dragon king's attempt to preserve the treasure house of the Dragon Palace, so as to warn Dayu to be merciful. In order to subdue the flood as soon as possible, I used my quick wits to pick up the hat that was blown off by the wind, exhausted all my strength, raised my axe and chopped at the hard rock, and finally split the river and made the Yellow River flow along the river. Without picking up his hat, Yu embarked on a journey of dredging nine rivers and three rivers.
Although the dragon king didn't leave a wall, he was very angry every time he saw the hat I left on the river bank, and wanted to burn it at the back door to weaken Yu's magic. When people on both sides of the strait knew about this, they carried Dayu's hat to the top of the mountain behind the Longwang Temple. In order to save the temple he built on earth, the Dragon King had to give it up. Over time, Yu's hat became a stone hat mountain. Later, in order to commemorate Yu's achievements, it was called the mountain.
