The origin of Anqing place names

Anqing City was founded in the Southern Song Dynasty. In the tenth year of Jiading in the Southern Song Dynasty, Jin people broke Guangshan, but there were many policemen at the border. Huang Gan, the magistrate, built Anqing on the site of Zhou Shu to prepare for the war.

Later, due to the war, in the second year of Duanping in the Southern Song Dynasty, Anqing House was moved to Luo Cha and Yangzhou, and Ma Guangzu was appointed as an envoy along the river in the first year of Ding Jing in the Southern Song Dynasty.

In order to prevent Mongolian troops from attacking Lin 'an, the capital of the Southern Song Dynasty, the Zhou Shu government was abandoned. The masonry of the former Zhou Shu government wall was rebuilt as Xin 'an Qingfu in Yicheng and moved to Huaining County to govern the country.

This place is close to the Yangtze River, so it is easy to defend but difficult to attack. Since then, the Anqing government has been stable, and "Anqing", as the name of the town, is consistent with the name of the administrative region and has been used ever since.
