On the recommendation of Teacher Wang, I went to Yinshan Island, a small island in Taihu Lake. Teacher Wang said that there are few tourists on the island and the scenery along the lake is good, which is just suitable for those of us who like to take pictures.

Taihu Lake claims to have 48 islands and 72 peaks, but in fact there may be more than 48 islands. Of all the islands in Taihu Lake, I can name very few. For example, we went to Yinshan Island this time, which I have never heard of before.
Navigation all the way, through the Yuyang Mountain Tunnel and the Third Bridge of Taihu Lake, to Xishan Island, the largest island in Taihu Lake, where loquat and bayberry are abundant. In the season of eating loquat and waxberry every year, there are endless guests coming here to pick and play, and the bridge leading to Xishan Island will also be crowded. I used to come over every year to join in the fun and take my children to play. In recent years, I am not willing to make such a fuss. If you want to eat, ask someone to bring it directly, or buy some at the fruit shop. So, I actually found that I have never been to Xishan since the opening of the tunnel.

Continue along Taihu Lake, cross Xishan Island, and come to a side path leading to Yinshan Island. The road is small, just enough for two cars to pass. Although the road is narrow, there are still many vehicles parked there, fishing in Taihu Lake.
Go all the way along the path, pass an uninhabited island and come to Yinshan Island. When I arrived at the island, the first thing I saw was an ancient camphor tree with a history of 1000 years. Gloomy and green, like an old patriarch guarding Yinshan Island. According to legend, Yin Changsheng, a Taoist priest in the Jin Dynasty, went to the island to practice elixir, hence the name Yinshan Island, and the island was suddenly covered with a layer of mystery.

Stroll around the island and enjoy the scenery of Taihu Lake. The Taihu Bridge looms in the distance, and the islands in Taihu Lake are scattered like pearls. There are few pedestrians on the island, except villagers who occasionally work in the mountains, but they have never met other tourists. Soon, I walked into a forest with winding mountain roads, overgrown weeds and mosquitoes flying. At first glance, it is a deserted road next to an abandoned hut, which really feels like a desert island adventure. My best friend said that this is a good place to make scary suspense movies. Suddenly, the pictures of killing people and hiding bodies in novels and movies flashed through my mind. Fortunately, it's daytime, four people are here, and one person is leaving. It's really scary.

The whole Yinshan Island is crescent-shaped, and it only takes two hours to stop and go. A large number of Biluochun and various fruit trees are planted on the island, which is the main source of income for local residents.

At the entrance, I finally met several tourists. A tourist has a fork in his hand. We asked what to do with the fork. Is it pike? The other party replied that there are wild animals here and there is self-defense. Looking back at the deserted mountain road we just walked, this fork in the road is still useful. There is also a tourist from Anhui who came in an RV. I bought some crabs from Taihu Lake and prepared to cook them myself. We bought some local pomegranates and oranges on the island and brought them back.

Next time, visit another island.
