Scene 11 Three Monk Stones

One monk carries water to drink, and two monks carry water to drink. The three monks were short of water and turned into stones waiting on the hillside.

On the highest peak of Daliangzi Mountain in Luo Mountain, there are three large stone treasures, only one or two feet apart. How come there are these large round stone treasures on such a high mountain ridge? According to legend, they are the Three Saints of the West. The Three Saints of the West are the three saints of the West. Amitabha, the leader of the Western Paradise World, and his attendants Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva on the left and Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva on the right. They are the teachers of enlightenment for all living beings. Infinite Amitabha leads all sentient beings to the Western Paradise. Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva shows great kindness and compassion throughout the world. Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva teaches all living beings in the world to be equal, to be free from suffering, and to achieve happiness. One day, the Three Saints heard that the immortal scenery of Mount Luo was better than Penglai. They traveled to Daliangzi Mountain in Mount Luo on the lotus platform. They saw a cloud of filthy gas in the northeast corner polluting the pure land of Mount Luo. This must be the work of evil spirits. Demons are immortals or gods who have fallen into evil ways and have great power. The Three Saints descended from the clouds and walked out of the lotus platform to check. It turns out to be the Mandala Demon. Datura was made from a datura flower. The fairy queen fell in love with the vine spirit, strayed into the devil's way, and entrenched herself in Luo Mountain.

Mandala revealed his true form, with a ferocious face, bared teeth and claws, and rushed towards the Three Saints. He shouted: Luo Mountain is my territory, you three, get out of here. After shouting, he actually rushed towards the Three Saints. . Immeasurable Amitabha opened his palm casually and said, "Obstacles deserve to die." Suddenly, a bolt from the blue struck, and the devil's neck was cut off. The devil's head sank into his chest, turned into a stone, and fell on the mountain. People called this stone the Thunder Stone. The Three Saints of the West saw that the twin phoenixes rising to the sun on Mount Luo and the Nine Dragons holding the saints were a treasure land of Feng Shui where dragons and phoenixes were present. Mount Gong was surrounded by immortal energy, and the basin gathered the aura of heaven and earth, gathering the essence of the sun and the moon. The Three Saints were overjoyed and decided to stay in Mount Luo for cultivation. . So the Three Saints of the West were transformed into three stone statues and stood in Daliangzi Mountain of Luoshan Mountain. People call these three stones the three monk stones. Later, the three saints were invited to Luoshan Temple to worship and enjoy the fireworks on earth.

It is also rumored among the people that after the Luoshan Temple was completed in 728 AD, the presiding monk Zhiyu summoned 20 disciples of the "Enlightenment" generation to study Buddhist scriptures and teach Buddhism. Buddhist disciples should cultivate their moral character, strengthen their bodies, and then achieve Zen enlightenment. First of all, we must work our muscles and bones, starve our body and skin, and deplete our body. That is to say, we must learn to endure hardship, use it to exercise our body and temper our will, and not be lazy and slippery. Only by enduring all the hardship can we put aside the distracting thoughts of the world, recite the Buddha's name with one heart, practice meditation, and achieve positive results.

Disciples of the "Wu" generation enter the first level of the temple to practice "hard work". Get up at Yinshi and do morning exercises at Maoshi. At Chenshi, each person carries a pair of buckets and climbs over the ridge behind the temple to pick up the "Holy Spring" from Daliangzi. The journey of three miles back and forth is said to be carrying water, but there is no need for a pole. I can only carry a bucket full of water with both hands, with my arms stretched out to both sides. He said: "Carry water." When you return to the temple, the bucket of water must be full. Those who are not satisfied with the water will be punished according to the circumstances: not eating the morning meal or eating less of the morning meal.

Among the disciples of the "Wu" generation, there is a fat monk named "Wu Pan", a thin monk named "Wu Hua", and a young monk named "Wu Shi". The three monks have been upset for a long time: the boring life of getting up early, doing morning exercises, carrying water, eating fast, meditating, and chanting sutras. I was late for morning exercises every day, carrying only half a bucket of water, dozing off while sitting in meditation, chanting sutras and chatting. After three months of "hard work", the three of them were still unable to make any progress. Master Jueyuan woke up and tried to enlighten them many times. However, the punishment did not take effect, so he had to report it to the presiding monk, Master Zhiyu. Zhiyu presided over the decision: "The three monks, Wupan, Wuhua, and Wushi, will practice the water-carrying skill for three more weeks. They must satisfy the more than 20 people in the temple to drink water every day. If they are lazy and slippery again, they will be severely punished."

Master Jue Yuan asked the three of them to take turns fetching water. The young monk Wu Shi started to carry the first week. He carried back 5 loads of water in the morning and 5 loads of water in the afternoon. There is still water to drink in the temple, but there is no water for watering the flowers. In the second week, the thin monk Wuhua was sent to carry water, but the two of them wanted to take it easy and decided to carry water. We carried back 5 loads of water in the morning and 6 loads of water in the afternoon. We drank water to water the flowers and there was water. But there is no water in the fireproof pool. In the third week, the presiding elder, monk Zhiyu, sent the three of them to fetch water. In this way, the temple's waterproof pool will also have water. The three monks only carried back 2 loads of water in the morning, but no one came back in the afternoon. There was no water in the temple. The presiding elder, monk Zhiyu, went to Daliangzi Mountain to check it out in person. Three monks sat on the beams and arranged household chores.

Monk Zhiyu quietly approached and hid in the grass and heard the fat monk say: "The temple is bitter, it is not a place for people to stay. We only carried two or three loads of water today. If we go back to the temple, we will be severely punished. It is better to wait until dark." Let's escape down the mountain, wander around the world and drink spicy food. "Wu Hua, Wu Shi clapped his hands and praised, and replied in unison: "Yes.

The presiding monk Zhiyu came out of the Ciba cage and said: "Sin, sin, you three evildoers, come back to the temple with me quickly, it's getting dark soon." After that, he clasped his hands and recited "Amitabha..."

The fat monk Wu panicked and used his ghost eyes to realize enlightenment. Wu Shi replied firmly together: "We will not go back to the temple. We will not go back to the temple." It's on Daliangzi Mountain."

Zhiyu was as obedient as he was told. Knowing that the three of them had made up their mind, he had no choice but to put his hands together and recite the mantra: "Sin, sin!" Fuchen shook his head and said: "Then follow your wishes!" A golden light shined through, the fat monk realized Panic, the thin monk realized Transformation, and the little monk Wushi immediately transformed into three original stone castles. People call these three garden stones: Big Monk, Second Monk, and Third Monk. The three lazy and playful monks stayed on Daliangzi Mountain forever.

The stone ox pressed the stone drum, and the silver was fifty-five thousand. Who can understand the mystery and buy all the Yuzhou mansion? Please look forward to the Legend of Niuzhaobao
