Yiwu is located in the northeast of Mengla County, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture. Yi language is a transliteration of Dai language. Yi means beauty, Wu means snake, and Yi Wu is the position of beauty snake. According to the "Pu 'er Prefecture Records", "The benefits of Yunnan and South China lie in tea first. Yiwu produces more tea, and the tea tastes good. "
In the 18th year of Qing Daoguang (1839), Daoguang presented a tablet of "Gong Rui Tianchao" to Jinshi Che Shun. Historically, Yunnan tea-growing area was divided into two tea-growing areas, namely, inside and outside the river by Lancang River. Yi Wu and other six tea mountains are all in the river. The tea produced is camellia. Menghai and Nanfeng are outside the river, and the tea produced is Ba tea, which means Yuan leaf in Pingba hilly basin in Dai language.
The five major tea mountains in Jiangbei are called Yi Wu Tea District, and are called the six major tea mountains together with Youle. Mansha Mountain is located in the southeast of Yiwu tea area, and Yiwu Town is at the southernmost tip of Yiwu Mountain, so Mansha Mountain is also called Yiwu Mountain! Therefore, among the six tea mountains of Pu 'er Tea written by Ruan Fu 1825 in Qing Dynasty, Mansha Mountain is the only one without Yi Wu. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, most tea merchants in Yunnan set up Mao tea factories in Yiwu, and the tea output in Yiwu ranked first among the six tea mountains.
At that time, everyone thought that the quality of dam tea produced in Menghai area outside the river was far less than that of the six major tea mountains in Hanoi, such as Yiwu. Tea merchants in Yiwu often go outside the river to buy tea produced in Nannuoshan area and mix it with Yiwu tea. The loose tea in Menghai area is also shipped to Simao pressed tea and pressed tea every year. After these teas are made, it is difficult for producers to argue, and drinkers can't tell which are camellia and which are dam teas.
Therefore, many tea merchants in Yiwu flaunt that their tea factories are in Yiwu Street, and choose Zhengshan Mountain in Yiwu because it is tender and white in spring. And Yiwu Zhengshan refers to Mansha Mountain in Yiwushan Ruan Fu's book. There are five tea mountains in Yiwu tea area, which are called Yiwu Tea Mountain, and Yiwu Mountain is just one of them. In order to make it easy to distinguish, Yiwu Mountain in Yiwu Tea Mountain is called Yiwu Zhengshan, also known as Zhengshan.
