Nanjing at 9 o'clock on September 9, A.D. 1945 is the masterpiece of the famous painter Chen Jian. Although some oil paintings are inconsistent with historical facts, the whole painting is magnificent, which profoundly reflects the solemn scene of Japanese surrender after War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's victory and achieves the perfect unity of ideology, artistry and appreciation.
Oil painting also won the gold medal and other awards in the 10th National Art Exhibition. The oil painting is now in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression Memorial Hall.
