Among the sects in China, are there three major religions: Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism?

Buddhism was not founded in China. There seems to be no regulations on the three major religions in China. However, the five major religions in China are:

Buddhism originated from India. It was called Tianzhu in ancient times. The highest spiritual leader is Sakyamuni. The purpose of Muni Buddha's teachings is to guide people to be good and to save all sentient beings. At most, they can only perform some sacrifices. They themselves do not advocate behaviors such as doing things. Such behaviors are done by believers and some people with ulterior motives.

Taoism, a native religion in China, has the highest spiritual leader Lao Tzu, who is called Yuanshi Tianzun in mythology. Its teachings aim to guide people to do good, but there are also theories such as Bagua and Feng Shui that can calculate good and bad luck in the past and future. For ordinary people, numerology is more practical, which is the so-called utilitarian aspect of the world. In history, emperors who changed dynasties often had military advisors and other heroes who appeared as Taoists beside them. For example, Jiang Shang of the Zhou Dynasty and Jiang Ziya, in the late Han Dynasty, Zhuge Liang, Liu Ji and Liu Bowen in the early Ming Dynasty are the most representative.

Christianity, originated from Israel, also has Catholicism as a branch. The highest spiritual leader is God and Jesus, the son of God. The purpose of teaching is to guide people to do good. Believers have no other choice but to pray for protection.

I don’t know much about Islam and dare not talk nonsense, but it seems to have originated from Arab countries. The highest spiritual leader is Allah. There are many ethnic minorities who believe in Islam in the northwest of our country. It leads people to do good, and there is no other way to seek protection except prayer.

I don’t need to tell you where Confucianism comes from, right? The highest spiritual leader is Confucius, the most holy teacher of Dacheng. The purpose of teaching is to guide people to be good. In fact, Confucianism is not a religion. Its teachings are for enlightenment and education. The greatness of Confucianism and Confucius is no less than that of the other four Great religion.
