The first one is from the perspective of feng shui. Because Babaoshan occupied dragons, caves, sand, water and other "auspicious gods", ancient emperors were willing to settle down here. In this way, we can enjoy the later time and protect our children and grandchildren. Is this a good thing? Personally, these are basically the considerations when the ancients chose the cemetery. Without these considerations, it doesn't matter where they are. One of the ethnic minorities likes celestial burial, that is, they stop where they die!
Second, it is close to the temple, which is convenient for chanting. Ancient people thought that people could live forever after death, and people's souls were worried about ghost harassment. Just be close to the temple. There used to be eight temples on the mountain: yanshou temple, Chaoyang Temple, Fu Ling Temple, Niangniang Temple, Huguo Temple, Dizang Temple, Mountain Temple and Guanyin Pavilion. This can protect the soul and get peace, or it may be a time for future generations to pay homage, just like managing Buddhism.
It seems that the choice of this place still has certain value considerations. Therefore, in modern times, some people are buried here, such as the hero of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and 38 generals such as Zhang Zizhong, Tong and Zhao. This is a very nice place. It seems that many people want to be buried here for some reason. Now some of our national leaders are also buried here. You can have a look if you like.
Do you think Babaoshan can really protect future generations?
